Question - Will I lose too much muscle doing this?
I used to train w/ a personal trainer and I got my weight down really well - well I stopped going after awhile for various reasons and I gained weight back slowly by not being active enough. I know that my lean body mass is approx 148lbs (if I had 0% body fat?) and I am trying to get down to six pack/just nice looking body. So right now I started to exercise a lot again - I get on my treadmill for an hour at an incline of 10 and do a fast walk - I burn around 600 calories an hour doing that - but after like 30 mins on the treadmill I Get off and lift a few weights. I do curls, bench press type thing, a tricep thing (I dont know the name for it, I put a weight behind my head and like unbend my arm.. hard to explain), and I do situps also during breaks (o btw I do this while sitting on a blow up ball - so that I can work my abs a little bit when I Am doing it). And then I get back on the treadmill and finish up the hour time slot that I designated to being on the treadmill (I use the timer on the treadmill). Sometimes I do this twice a day - but I make sure to alternate which muscles I am working, so that I dont overwork my muscles.
For the diet portion of what I am doing, I am eating a lot of protein and trying to do low carb diet. I bought a bunch of protein bars and I am eating 100+ grams of protein a day (I think its more like 125g of protein per day tho). Anyway, I am basically having about 1200 to 1500 calories a day - or atleast I Am trying to moderate it to around there. I thought the large amount of protein would counteract the majority of the muscle loss, because thats basically what a ketosis diet does from the articles I have read before - but I am not doing a ketosis diet because I have a very active life style - I go out w/ friends often and doing ketosis for long periods of time just isnt practical for me.
So should I be OK?
P.S. I am 18 and like 5 foot 8 and weigh around 175-180lbs havent gotten on a scale in a bit.

ok, I'm tryin to understand. Are you just wanting to lose some weight, so you have a 6 pac? I'm not a dietician, but if you are just trying to lose some weight add fruits and veggies to your diet. if you are trying to gain some muscle mass, try doing compound movements and reduce the time on the treadmill, you will lose weight faster, plus you will build muscle and get stronger, you will be surprised at the results in very little time. I would do 15 min on tread mill, do your compound lifts, cleans, deads, squats, and cool down with another 15 on the treadmill.

I agree with a justaguy.........Tho' there is nothing wrong with 60mins of cardio, book-ending your weights in one session and some times twice a day is gonna kill any results you'll get due to overtraining......If 60 is the magic number for you....do 30 in the a.m and 30 in the p.m........If your weight is 140sumthin, your calories are waaaaaaaay too low, especially if you are this active.
Lift heavier, compound moves....do HIIT 2-3x week and maybe 1-2 steady state 60mins cardio sessions........just my .02
