Default My training routine

Hello!

I'm new to this forum and I have a question regarding my goal fitness levels.

Firstly, my goal is to run 5km in 18 minutes (not just once; as a fitness level - can run it in 28)

Then, to be able to do my workout routine - 50 push ups (can do 30), 50 squats (can do all), 50 calf raises (can do all), 50 mountain climbers (each leg- can do all) and 50 crunches (can do all). Will be referred from here on as the Routine.

Structure of the routine: 50 Mountain climbers
10 Chin ups
50 Squats
10 Chin ups
50 Calf raises
10 Chin ups
50 Push ups
10 Chin ups
50 Crunches
10 Chin ups

My modified '300' workout

I will follow a push up program, about 4 weeks to 50 and a running one for as long as it takes.

This would be my week once I'm able to do the above:

Monday - Morning - 5km run
Afternoon - Routine

Tuesday - Morning - Rest
Afternoon - Routine

Wednesday - Morning - 5km run
Afternoon - rest

Thursday - Morning - rest
Afternoon - Routine

Friday - Morning - 45min easy
Afternoon - Routine

Saturday - Morning - 5km run
Afternoon - Routine

Sunday - rest

Some notes - I'm 15, 6'1", 140 pounds, and quite strong (people think im a twig for my weight and height, but i really am not... have a 6-pack

Diet - dont eat junk food or sweets, drink water and only water, i dont measure my caloric intake, eat 6 times a day and am conscious of what i take in. Sleep 8 hours a day.

Questions - Will I be overtraining?
Any suggestions?
Do you know of a running program? I've got one but I want to see which is the most effective.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry, but you are a twig. Don't worry though... You'll fill out as you get older.

To quote M.Rippetoe:

Quote:
Well, Rip knows that a 135-pound, 5’ 9”, 18-year-old kid doesn’t look like either Ronnie or Rip, even if he has a twelve-pack, and that if he seriously wants to head in that direction the first thing to do is to gain about 60 pounds. Ole Rip also knows that women don’t really care about abs. They care about Other Things. And after all, you asked Rip; he didn’t ask you. So put down your Muscle and Fiction, do your squats, drink your milk, and pay better attention to the answers when you ask the questions.

You guys that worry about eating clean are actually merely bodybuilders looking for justification for your obsession with abs. You cannot get big and strong on 3000 kcal/day. And you cannot eat 7000/day and eat perfectly "clean".
