YSI - Uploading Speed?
Is there a way to determine the speed (rate) and progress of specific files being U/L'ed to YSI via cable modem? If not, it would be useful to know the quality of my connection before attempting to U/L large files. Any insights would be appreciated.

Right On!
PLover - I just started working with the trial version of Stat'n'Perf. It appears to provide exactly the type of data I was seeking to help improve uploading efficieny. Many thanks for your assistance. Larryo

Put it on the top R-hand of your screen and let it always be visible, and you will be able to monitor all incoming and outgoing activity. Even spyware that's sending info home. Some tools like a defragmenter indicate huge UL/DL activity although there is NO info sent over the internet. Also ZoneAlarm shows a very low UL/DL activity of 2.83 kB/s. But any other activity without your consent is suspicious (unless of course autoupdates of different tools).

Question, in using Stat"N"Perf.
I've noticed a difference between the actual file size and the amount of information sent. It is usually a difference of 20-30%.
For example. File size is 8.1 MB uploaded to YSI and the sent file size is listed in Stat"N"Perf. as 13.11 MB. Why the difference??

Perfectly normal: if you DL a file you also see an UL and the actual DL can be bigger than the file.
