Editing a thread or a post

I've created a thread and now I can't edit it anymore. I've read that there might be a time limit between two edits but it's been two days I can't edit. So I was wondering if there's a number of times in which we can edit a thread or a post? And if there's a time limit to edit a thread or a post?
