Again one nice dark theme gone and replaced by a Pink theme.
If you look around the web you'll notice that more and more forum owners are using dark theme's (not necessary black themes but anything that is noticeable darker than white). So there must be a demand for it. Not so apparently here on EF; and let's be honest there is very little difference between the World Peace and Simply Blue theme > both very white .
So while there is very few demand for darker than light themes here on EF, I really have no idea how come. Could be something related to the general fitness idea (clean-white-fresh-healthy-pure-fit).
I think some of you recall that a while ago FP did put a new skin available on the site. It was called Darkness. At the time I used another dark skin called Starship.
The Darkness theme was so badly configured by that I didn't use it from day 1. I mentioned that too at the time. A slight possibility however that it has to do with my high screen resolution of 1400x1050.
Now however my Starship theme has gone (and been replaced by a theme called Pink > now WTF who uses that ?) so I am inclined to use the Darkness theme again (being the only dark theme left).
I see however that it still seems to be bad configured.
Nothing has changed and you can judge 4 yourself on these screenshots I took.

FP if you have the time could you please make the necessary changes to this Darkness theme (also to use a "lighter shade of gray" to improve the visualibility) ?
I think replacing the Pink theme back by the Starship theme is out of the question/or not ?
Thanks

Women.
And from what I gather, we are trying to entice more women to join and be contributing members. If you'll notice, there is a new Women's Fitness Forum.

OK Doughy no problemo, but let FP first fix this seriously f*cked up Darkness theme; which is the only dark theme left as I mentioned.

Strangely enough, I have none of those problems - spacing and the fonts are brighter. Try forcing a refresh with CTRL+REFRESH to ensure that your browser isn't caching an old stylesheet.
As for the pink one, I didn't replace anything, I added a new one for the Womens section. I did however, remove some themes as there is a much easier way to add themes than I had done originally and any change I made required me to edit 12 different sets of files - very cumbersome as you might imagine.

No, the problems with the Darkness theme is present since the second change performed on that theme. It is only with the Darkness theme.
And more members when asked to switch temporarily to the Darkness theme can see the same behaviour of the theme as I have. Perhaps you could compare the spacing settings with other themes.
Perhaps you could delete the Darkness theme if it can't be fixed and put back the recently deleted Starship theme.
Thanks

Ok FP and Plover check this out:
It seems like on the regular font size its it but if it gets bigger it overlaps. Look at Gmans then look at Plovers
BUT
I dont notice the same spacing and dark problem you have Plover, the spacing is fine and its not dark there anymore. The only thing is when people use larger font sizes it overlaps

It is the Darkness Large theme that is indeed f*cked up. Not the Darkness theme that seems OK BTW. So FP you can as well delete the Dakness Large theme unless you have some time to fix. I for my part don't see an increase in font size if I use it.
Thanks Doughy for checking.

Thanks, that's better for the Darkness Large theme.
No font overlapping anymore.
But I have to check about the font size that 4 me; as I mentioned; doesn't get very much larger while using the large theme as opposed t/t non-large. The same with all the other themes.
The difference is so small that it's unnoticable.
But that's no problem.
Anyway you could check out this screenshot that shows you the difference. The font size is bigger because you see the text appearing on another line. The spacing of the Darkness Large gets (but not overlapping anymore) smaller however as opposed to the Darkness theme.
That's why while the difference is very small; for the moment I prefer the Darkness theme to the Darkness Large. Yes I'm deeply sorry 4 giving you all this work. But you be the judge, which would you prefer, the upper or the lower themes ?
 AND
But what's the weirdest of all is that in both Darkness themes I only have 5 reppy things instead of 10 (I mean the squares above the rep power)
