That's correct JMF, you can't for the moment. Now if you look close you'll see that the last post in that thread was dated October 11th. And as you might have guessed by yours truly myself.
I'm not sure if there's a connection, but lately more threads disappear and get closed after I've posted something in them. But if a whole subsection gets closed that's weird indeed. Perhaps someone hit the wrong button. I suggest in the meantime you could post your stuff under website feedback.
Don't loose even 1 minute sleep over it, as I don't too. I even sleep better now that I know that every post of mine is doublechecked.

I guess I'll just wait for FP to show up. I want to start a thread on how to use an archiver to split files, like WinRAR. moastly to do a tutoral for BlueBird to help her upload her beautiful art collage. she said it is about a 300MB file. I'm guessing a little bit over 300, cause she can't get any upload hosts to upload the complete file. so I figured she could try to split the file with WinRAR and upload the separate archives to an upload host

Well RapidUploader is good for 300Mb. Sexuploader for 500Mb. Yousendit 1Gb. Of course no direct links from EF, at least not for the last one.

that was the old days PLover. not anymore, yousendit went to crap. they only allow up to 100MB files without a membership now.
sexuploader will let you upload 500MB files, but will only let you download 250MB if you are not a member. same goes for megaupload
I think the file is over 300MB, so rapidshare wont work unless you split the file

FWIW, a week or so ago, people were reporting that RS was only allowing 100 MB uploads - dunno if they had a membership though.

EDIT: yes, you're right
Upload-limit: Unlimited! (Max. 100 MB per file! Split-archives allowed!)
it's the same with both RapidShare and RapidUploader
thanx Pliny

Too bad about YouSendit. I'm to blame. It was the only server I could use to for 1Gb files. Shouldn't have introduced it to EF back in the good old days in 2004. Used it only a ccouple of times from within EF. Thank's 4 the info Pliny & JMF.
