smilies don't show up, only code

When I put smilies in my blog or posts, most of them don't appear as smilies? they show the code, but not the image. Am I doing something wrong? I just click the smileys image in the menu.

Is this happening after you submit your post or while you are typing it??
While you are typing your post you will only see the code but if you preview your post or after you submit it, you should see the actual smilie, if not you may have some settings messed up on your pc

It's below the edit field of your new post. Maybe you can make a new post here with an example of the not-working-smilies.

I can see other people's smilies, and the basic ones that are made with a colon and parenthesis or P show up when I type... for example, see my last post here: http://www.extremefitness.com/blog/s...g.php/blog/955

The ones made with : P show up, but the last line just reads : thumb :

I looked for those ticks in the user CP options, but did not find them- I have images and avatars turned off, but can still see others' smilies.

dang it, it worked there! check the link, let me know if you see the thumb's up smilie at the end of the first post- for me, it is just text.

I see 6 smilies including the thumbs up at last.

The tick is below the edit field when you either click "Post Reply" or "Go Advanced"

I think in the BLOG section only the smilies listed beside you are avaialbe. There are a few less than the ones in the forums I think

Oh, found it now. it is unchecked, so they should show... Oh well, maybe it's just my computer. There are bigger worries in life Thanks again!
