I just noticed a "Thanks" feature is this new or was I just not paying attention?
My one thanked post was back in October.

I'm a little confused as to how the Thanks feature differs from rep points. Like, if you find someone's post particularly helpful, which version of forum-props would be appropriate?
Thanks (or reps..?) to whomever can clarify this. =P

If you just want to acknowledge that you liked the post, use the thanks, if you would like to say something to the poster, use the reps.

I suppose it's whatever you prefer. Here's an analogy for how I intend to apply this.
"Thanks" is just like you say "thanks" and give a handshake in appreciation in real life.
"Approval" is doing the same as above, but with a $20 in your hand when you shake the other guy's hand.
"Disapproval" is when you try to get a $20 out of his pocket.

I can see it coming now... the next big blow up will be when 'circle' thanks whoring becomes an issue...
I admit having a rep system and thanks system seems kind of redundant to me... I plan to continue using rep comments as I have in the past, and most likely will not use the thanks system...
