New forum section
Ever thought of adding a section strictly devoted to reviewing fitness products? Instead of spending too much time going through other threads hoping to find someone recommending a certain brand etc., it would be helpful to have a section where members can post reviews of products they have recently purchased to assist others. Especially with a lot of these internet orders. It could ease the pain of ordering something online and realizing the product isn't exactly what you were looking for.
My 2 cents...
Cheers!

We used to have that. If I remember correctly, it got to be too much of a liability issue and so it was abandoned.

Interesting. I have seen this category on several other forums. How is it a liability? I see it as pretty benign since we already post such things/information in other areas of EF. Oh well...

I'd love to see that section on the site.
Seeing how the majority of our members do not act like they are 10 we'd get some decent reviews.
On other forms you never get a straight review because the form kiddies start bashing each other
"BR0 u aint even big and u been taken dat stuff fer like 3 yeerz LOL!! FKN WUSSSSSSS"
Whoever is in charge of making that decision I really hope they consider adding a product review area.

Send a PM to FitnessPhotos and discuss it with him, he owns the site, it's his call.

One other board I used to frequent (completely different topic to EF), brought in such a system after a long period of debating it. How it was implemented was that for users to be able to just access it to read reviews/reports of how someone experienced a garage/company they had to have at least 10 posts, and to post in it I think they had to have 20. This meant that any spammers would have to really spam away and would be shut down long before they could fill that section up with rubbish.
But, I also understand the potential legal issues as well. I think it's very tricky ground, although I do personally believe the above may work.

Yeah i have frequented a forum with this system and it worked well. The moderators were far from bored i can tell you that much
The way I see it, members here are disciplined enough to train hard, therefore disciplined enough to shun the spammers and assholes.
I personally use assholes as my secret ingredient to train harder.

Well, it's still available:
http://www.extremefitness.com/reviews/
We just didn't see much activity in there, I don't mind linking it back up to see if it gets any use.
