Easy way to do a rockin vid post on EF
Easy way to do a rockin vid post on EF
1. NAME of Vid
2. INFO
Size of vid i.e. 75mb
It's nice if you also include type of vid mpeg, AVI, zip, rar etc.
If there is no nudity say so
3. SCREENSHOTS
There is only one EASY way to do GREAT screenshots that I have found
The FREE version of this easy to use program
http://www.frame-shots.com/
Without paying for the program the screenshots will have "frame shots demo" across them but as you see it is no big
Once you have the program and are making a screenshot set the thumb width to 250 and the thumb height to 200. This will give u a nice big easy to see pic like this
Once you have made your screenshots upload them here
http://www.imagevenue.com/
You can upload up to 5 screenshots(4 is a good amount)
Now with the screenshots remember someone is looking at them deciding whether they want to download your vid, comment, rep u etc so you want them to be good
If you only post a pic of the girls face or in clothes thats not alot to go on, try and also post pics that include their boobs and butt. Then someone can decide if it's "their type of girl"
If your not gonna post a screenshot don't post
4. Post link
Use rapidshare for vids under 30mb
http://rapidshare.de/
For Vids over 30mb use
http://www.yousendit.com/
You will have better luck having someone reseed your vid if you hide the link
Big dogs and site supporters can only see hidden links
To post a hidden link(thanks to puddycat)
Before posting, click on the "Go Advanced" button.
This enables the hide feature.
First , post the link , then click on "Preview post" , which wraps a url code around the link, then copy the link, click on the "hide " button , then paste link into that window and click"ok".
Link will appear with hide code wrapped around it.
Submit post.
There you have it!
Comments are welcome
Thanks to EF for providing this GREAT forum

Great info spacolin!
I did not know about the FrameShots software. I have been using IrfanView to create my screen shots but FrameShots is much easier.
Thanks again.

Assuming that you erhm, want to get it, I suggest rephrasing another reply in the form of one or more direct questions.

New infos about rapidshare
O.K., a little update, cause what stands here, is not up to date!
Quickfile doesnīt exist anymore!
Nearly all files at EF are on www.rapidshare.de!
You may upload files up to 100 MB and split-files are allowed!
If you donīt have a free account, you may download 100 MB each hour. To get more, you have to disconnect from internet and delete all cookies. Then get back to rapidshare. Should work now for another 100 MB.
Better is to get a premium account!
1 month: 9,90 EUro
3 Months: 24 Euro
6 Months: 44 Euro
1 year: 79 Euro
Downloadaccelerator like Flashget are allowed!
You have a better downloadspeed, your uploadfiles are hosted as long you are premium member and for each download of your files, you get one point.
So for 10000 downloads, you get one month free membership!
So, its a good option!

Software for Caps
Another good option for making caps is: VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod!
If you google, you will find some free versions! Its good for avis, mpg.
Another simple version is to use PowerDVD or to use irfanview.com
Think, it should help a bit!

Media Player Classic (MPC)
I use a free app, Media Player Classic (MPC) to cap all vids except Quicktime (mov) files. MPC now comes with 4 different levels of codec packages "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.38," and "K-Lite Codec Pack 2.54" Full, Standard or Basic. All available (with other great stuff, like Quicktime and Real Alternatives), at Final Builds Site.
I have been using an older version, 2.49 of the Standard Pack (13 mb), uploaded in a WinRaR file to RapidShare HERE, in case you are interested.
To cap with the MPC:
1. Open vid file with MPC (right click vid file; highlight OPEN WITH; select MPC).
2. Pause on desired frame.
3. Left click FILE / SAVE IMAGE
4. Select desired folder and click SAVE
5. A jpg file of the vid frame named "snapshotxxxxx", will be saved in the designated folder.
6. Repeat steps 2 - 4.

I challenge that 100Mb/hour ! I download a file as small as 15Mb, then go to try to DL another file and get told that I must wait 80 minutes or get a Premium account (which is not an option for me)!

Youre right, Doc... can't download 100MB for free, it is far less than that.
Which is why filehd.com and others are fast becoming my preferred "big file hoster of choice"

It has come to my attention that video capping features may be tempermental using Media Player Classic with K-Lite Codec Pack 2.54 (all versions). Accordingly, I suggest using the older 2.49 Standard Version (4.5 mb).
I still strongly recommend grabbing some of the freeware from Final Builds Site, including Real Alternative, Quicktime Alternative, WinRaR 3.51, Spybot Search and Destroy, WinZip 10.0 and FFDShow codec.

While this may not be the "best" place to post the following question.......
Does anyone know how to play a .DAT file.
After viewing the video in the following link, a file appears in my temporary internet file but as a .DAT file. I do not know how to modify the extension to play it.
Did I make sense?

Apparently, HiDownload can be used to capture streaming video that otherwise resides as a .DAT file in Temporary Internet Folders. I haven't tried the app, but others seem to use the trial version with some success. http://www.streamingstar.com/hidownload.htm
