How to post a thumbnail picture

I am posting this because I have seen way too many posts that have to be edited because people cannot get the hang of how to post pictures. Hopefully, this will cut down on all the editing the mods have to do, and it will cut down on all the.....

1. Open up Word or notepad or similar program

2. Go to http://www.imagevenue.com

3. Upload your pics

4. For each pic copy the info where it reads "Hotlink a clickable thumbnail on a Forum or Message Board!

5. Paste the stuff you copied into your post
6. Preview your post, then submit

I've noticed that many people are posting the pics in their threads vertically. I suppose that is because they do not know how to post them horizontally. The vertical post makes for a real long thread that is often hard to view. I posted this some place else in the forum as a guide for the newbies, and for those of us who are a little slow in picking up the nuances of posting. I shall repost it here, in it's own thread to help.

When I first started posting pics I posted like this:

[img]ImageVenue Image Link 1[/img]
[img]ImageVenue Image Link 2[/img]
[img]ImageVenue Image Link 3[/img]

You see? I hit the enter button after every picture. It creates a vertical post, like so:

However, if you add them horizontally, one image after the other without hitting the enter button like this:

[img]ImageVenue Image Link 1[/img][img]ImageVenue Image Link 2[/img][img]ImageVenue Image Link 3[/img]

You get a post that looks like this:

Read up on the Rules of the Road, join in any of the existing discussion.... in short, ease your way into the flow of any forum where posting pictures is the mainstream activity.

after playing around was able to post a couple of pics using just the [img]..... [/img] codes but i couldn't do that with with imagevenue

I think you need to be a Big Dog or Top Dog to have an avatar pic.

Thanks for the info on posting pictures but I have to get 15 posts to do so? When I tried I got this error message. Is there anyway to post picture without posting 15 times?
