possibly the fact that they have tons of annoying pop up sponsors like adultfriendfinder now and probably loaded with spyware popups.

I agree with Moo,
My pop up blocker rings madly on the rare occasion "wink wink" that I find myself in that section

I used to like imagevenue to share pics with friends and family. Imagine my surprise when a friend of mine told me she got p0rn pop ups when I sent her a pic of my newborn baby (WTF?)

Firefox :check:
Ad-block Plus extension :check:
Firefox configured to block popups :check:
Spybot Search and Destroy kept current :check:
Imagevenue = none of the issues y'all mention (since blocking adultfriendfinder.com)
Imagebam = problems
ISSUE: marking pictures as "ADULT Content" seems to default both services to give you T&A

Huh, I haven't encountered any probs with imagebam. Of course I only started using them. I was having glitches when uploading to imagevenue where the final code for multiple images omitted one or two of the thumbnail images. Oh well...

Well as a matter of fact I nearly got banned on a forum because of that. I put an image link and there was some nudity (now I don't mind of course, but there are always ppl that think they will go to hell if they see a half nipple - in fact I think they should go to hell -). So I did investigate it and discovered that you only "might" see a half nipple if you made the wrong choice b4 uploading the pic. Perhaps you choose the option "adult content". And well that means that since you think the person you sent the link too is adult, imagevenue must have thought they could add some nudity. Apparently they were wrong.
On a sidenote I have never had any problems with imagevenue since I use 1) Firefox 2) No Script 3) Ad-Block
Long live Imagevenue ! At least they keep your pics for years in a row; not like all the others that claim they do it too, but in fact delete your pics from the moment you turn your back on them.

Sorry, many imagebam pics get deleted after a while and they're slow to "view".

Ah, imagevenue the image host that has trojans and spyware in the image ads. Plover may remember this, A while I posted a thread with pics from Imagevenue and immediate 3 people got Trojans. You may want to scan and such BB. Also I strongly second what Plover said, Use firefox and the addon Noscript.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722
It may take a while to get used to allowing your favorites sites but it its soooo worth it.

Agree with everything in your post except the random and unexplained slant against imagebam. What problems?? I have never had any.
I very much prefer them to imagevenue. Easy of use, putting all uploaded pics in a gallery for viewers, reliable and fast uploads. Yes marking as 'adult' with imagebam will also get you pop-ups just like imagevenue but the over-all package at imagebam is much superior imho.
Just my two cents

Maybe brucew63 didn't explain alot. Anyway I did in #16. Remember admin and mod's don't have the time to give long explanations. Lucky for you you don't have problems with imagebam. But always remember this: some picture servers are good for posting pics but are not for DL'ing pics or vice versa.
