Default New to dieting, please help

Hello everyone,

I'm 19 years old and my height is 5'9. In women's sizes, I use to be a size 6, and now I am a size 8/10. So I would really love to be back to a size 6. My usual diet is eating rice, fried foods, beef and Starbucks coffee. Although I have toned down the rice, beef, and coffee and lost a few pounds I still see this unattractive pouch on my stomach area. And it is so frustrating when every part of your body is toned except for your stomach. I bought a gym membership recently where I try to go four times a week. Do you have any tips on what my work out should be? And do you have any tips on what my diet should be. I would like to lose the weight as soon as I can. Please help me! Thanks.

First off you should clean up your diet.
-Don't fry your foods. Instead, Grill the food.
-Eat plenty of fruits and veggies.
-Stay away from processed crap. Basically if its not from an animal or came from the ground don't eat it.
-Clean diet is key in fat loss.
Drink plenty of water!

Also for your workout you will want to work every major muscle on your body.
- Back, shoulders, tri, bis, legs. Also your core (ABS).
-Start off slow. Rome wasn't built in a day!

Lastly, add some cardio around 3 times a week.

Do you do any strength training or cardio?
And I agree with the diet comment above.

Thanks for the great info about the diet. I currently only do cardio at the gym, never thought about lifting any weights. I also get an espresso drink from starbucks about 3 times a week in the morning for the energy, should i stop with that as well?

Lifting weights will definately be to your advantage! A lil muscle goes a long way with helping fat burning. The coffee should not stop you from fat loss.
You should add some weighted ab work for one day per week while on a second day that week do high rep low or no weight ab exercises.

I know this sounds really lame, but I found eating alot of pickles throughout the day instead of regular food helped to bring my weight down.
The strubbs "Ultimate Garlic" pickles are only 2 calories per pickle, how can you go wrong with that???
