Exclamation Exercises Routine Needed!

Hey Ladies, My name is Elizabeth & im new to the Extream fitness forums, ive had abit of a look around and i cant seem to find a thread based on what i wanted to ask..

To cut a long story short im in need of some exercises to help me tone up my ass and get rid of my little love handles..

I work rather short hours so i have a fair bit of time on my hands meaning i can work out basiclly when-ever i want & i would rather do it myself insted of joining a gym, coz im sure i wouldnt need HEAPS AND HEAPS of work.

I was hoping some of you might be able to help me with this quest by giving me some advice of routines i could do to help me tone up those two problem areas..My Butt & My Love handles..

Any advice or help you all could give would be great and i would really appreciate it

WELCOME TO EF!

You've come to the right place for advice and encouragement ^_^ And i'm especially partial to ladies who want to tone up! Or admit they have to! Its hard work and from where I sit it looks like only !5 of the female population stick with it So you're already awesome in my book!

Now to answer your questions

Damn those bums! Why must they give us so much grief!

Working out at home while you have plenty of time is awesome! Especially for what you want to achieve. I'd say a little muscle on your bum but overall weight loss is what you're after!

You see, even though it sounds weird, you body fat is a percentage and your cant loose it from particular spots. That's called 'spot reducing' and its the fantasy that we can keep fat nicely where it needs to be and take it off annoying bum and love handles areas! But unfortunatley you cant, it has to come off everywhere... which you'll probably be happy with anyway!

At home, you can work out your hams and glutes! Get some leg weights after a while so your body doesnt get bored. Heres a nice little at home lower body excercises. (do your whole leg! you wont get muscly muscly, but having some calves and quads make your legs look like hourglassy and awesome! and Inside leg muscle is just smexxy ) It doesnt have it on this link but do lots of dog kicks! Its awesome when you feel dog kick pain!

Otherwise, to lose the love handles and get your bum looking awesome, do cardio!

Start off with half an hour 3 days a week (if you're not already doing more) and change your diet so that you eat clean, small and often to speed up your metabolism (check out the health and diet section and figure out whats best for you! Everyones different!)

slowly increase cardio or decrease calories when you dont see changes for two weeks and you will look awesome!!!

What is your age, height, weight, fitness level, ect.? If you don't have any serious health issues and are healthy, then you can start doing one of the many routines found in our Member's Workout Routine thread. You can find it here:

Thanks For the Advice and links to healthy food and so on!

Here are my specifics.

Currrent Weight : 57.5
Waist : 82 Cm
Height : 165 Cm
Current Fitness Level Out Of 1 - 10 > Im about a (4)

Here are some pics of my Current Ugly Out of shape fat body!! These are all pictures of my problem areas. Im posting them here for help, not insults so if u have nothing nice to say dont say it at all!.

i have been looking for myself but i cant find any websites that give healthy food recepies...Any suggestions as to whats foods are the best to eat?? What do you all eat for snacks and so on, im lost with this!

Basically, anything you cook yourself will most likely be healthier than something you buy at a restaurant or fast food joint that is already cooked.

There are many different meals you could cook on your own that are healthy. For breakfast, there's eggs or oatmeal. You already have a very nice figure, so I don't see why you are so down on yourself. You are far away from being out of shape and fat. I am sure there are many other girls out there who wish they could look just like you. But if you are looking to make improvements to your physique, then eating a healthy and clean diet, and doing hard work frequently will definitely get the job done. The only catch: it takes time.

Definatley look at a few months goal of dieting with a cheat meal per week, stick with things otherwise.
maybe start a blog here with your daily eating and training.
I also understand you want to work out at home?
I can give you a circuit to start with for a few weeks, do it strictly and I can guarantee you will see some changes.
For Cardio as gymgirl mentioned, you can run, do tapes, skip, get a machine.
What would you prefer? You need 45-60 mins of cardio sweating per day, it is a long time if you are a beginner so start at your pace to ensure you last out the amount of time required, then kick it up as you get better. Some home tapes are good with progression, like tae bo.
Tell me what you eat in the next few days, list it all honestly and then we can see what meal plan I can suggest for you.
I would then add 30 mins of thigh thinning, gut busting, ass shrinking and hardening specific exercises.
First you reply to this then I will list more details.

I tend to agree with Insex, you are by far from being out of shape and fat. You do have a nice figure. My fiancee was in WAY more out of shape than you are. This is what she has done to tone up.

1. Diet and Healthy eating - eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, and not cheating. Once in awhile is okay, more so one cheat day per week. She tends to eat a lot of small meals through out the day.
2. Cardio - She was never really athletic, so she started taking 30-60 minute walks, then slowly moved to jogging, and now other forms of cardio. (Bike, eliptical machines, etc)
3. Muscle toning - Squats, Crunches, lunges, pushups, etc. (All basic exercises). She started doing these while starting to do cardio. Once she her body didn't feel anything from these exercises, she slowly started adding weights to her routine.

But everyone that has posted above has given you some great advice to start with. One thing to keep in mind, everything comes in due time, you just have to stick to your routine.

Also another note, sometimes it is hard to motivate yourself to workout, so how about maybe getting a trainning partner to workout with you? How about a friend, boyfriend, partner or even husband?

But I wish you luck in your endeavours, just stick to it. And everything is mind over matter. You set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
