New Goal and Trial Cutting
Hi everyone!
I have set myself a new goal, to be ripped before I go on holiday in December 22.
That gives me two weeks and two months to get ripped! Then I can eat like a normal tourist while I'm away and then come back and start getting ready for a comp in May that I will definately go in this time!!!!!!!!!!!! You know, cause I'll be confident from having succeeded in my trial cut!
Yesterday I did really well!
Got up at about 5:30am and had a third of a cup of oats went to the gym and did high intensity cardio for an hour.
then at 8:30 i ate some moar oats
11:30 i had a protein shake
1:30 i had some tuna with a cracker or two!
3:30 i had another protein shake!
then at 5:30 i got on the bike and did another hour of low intensity cardio (i was tired by then though :P)
Then for dinner I had chicken and veggies!
I'm so pumped right now! I wish i wasnt at work so I could go exercise more!!!
I'm going to measure my upper theigh because for some reason thats where my fat has gone just recently, and I'll monitor my awesomeness by that!
I seem to weigh 52 kilos now after my bit of a crap run, and I really wanna weight 47, but then again, if i look like i weight 47 and i weigh 52 then thats even better, so i dont want to set a weight goal.
I'll just set a 'get as awesome as you can' goal!

Way to go GG, this will be fun, someone to suffer with!! Although......my suffering ends Nov. 10th!
Mind you, I do want to keep a focus ahead of that whether it be next Nov if I don't do well, or next spring if I do qualify to the next level, I want to keep working on my normal season cycles of training so after Nov I get a few days to eat as I please although after dieting this long its not as easy as it sounds so I will most likely not be able to go crazy or I will get sick........so I figure I want to go back on bulking diet again, and this time try to control my cheats better and keep my normal choices more on the lean side, but I will eat some carbs again - fruits, healthy breads, curries but you know I have a list o crap, I will be fullfilling as well.......being you competed once you are familiar with the weird cravings you think you will want to fullfill.......like things I never usually crave - and some I do..........like spaghetti with tomato sauce, pizza, twizzlers, fanny may pixies and dixies, purdy peanutbutter chocolate, baskin robin peanutbutter chocolate ice cream.........gee, the list is not even close to done.......the naam veg restaurant burger which is actually very healthy and vegan.........maybe red robins cheese sticks with red pepper jelly........ms vickies s&v chips, oh and starbucks has these chocolate volcano cakes with carmel oozing out of them..................wow, I feel like I polluted your thread now.........but see this as self control.......these are all the things I AM REFRAINING FROM so if I can do it, and my list is not done yet, then you can do it.
I just have to ensure I space the crap out over 2 mths for cheats rather than over a few days and eating loads of it...........and getting sick from it......and fat.

If you get more awesome than you are, I may have to move to Australia. Best of luck.

Hehehe you are adorable thank you so much for your encouragement!!!! !!
*wub*
So its started off really awesomely. i was really inspired when this lady i work with, her husband called her and said he'd be home late. he rides to and from work so she asked why, he said that he was going to take the long way home because it was a nice day. His long way home was to keep riding past his house for about 2 minutes then turn around and go back.
He fionds excuses to excercise! That's what i need to do! not excuses to get out of it!
So today i was sitting on the bus on the way back from work. I'd changed into my sneakers and i didnt have a suit jacket on cause its getting warm here. So i got off on the second stop and ran the rest of the way. only about 4ks but i felt awesome.
I still got home and did moar cardio!
I did the thing i usually do and go "oh its time for a protein shake... is there any point having t? it doesnt fill me up" so i went and had it anyway and realised how much it actually does help you get through the next 3 hours. It was awesome!
 going good so far!!

Hi guys!
Well i havent been too strict on my diet. I just sold my house and bought another one, it settles tomorrow. Also I start a really hard new job on Monday so I've been studying with that. I also move house on Thursday (to the one I bought) so I've been spending a lot of time packing, and sometimes I've just feel too exhausted to do cardio! Besdies I also have a problem with my ovaries which makes me really emotional and with other things going on I've been finding it difficult to not continually question why the hell I'm doing this in the first place. And I'm sure you all know that you really need to be driven to pull something like this off.
I only have 7.5 weeks until Dec 22nd.
Today I woke up really motivated! and this morning I ate great! but then for some reason I just ate some mints... and I didnt even want to! Is it that self sabotage I was talking about again? I dont understand myself!
I know a couple of mints wouldnt really break most peoples diets too much, but with how small i am at the moment, eating those just then means I wont lose any weight today! PLOPS!
Otherwise i think I've been eating too little. Surviving on a couple of handfulls of nuts a day and stacks of water. I eat some crackers every so often, which are really high in fat but like i said, I havent been being strict enough. So the calories I am getting in are bad! Maybe that's why I'm starting to look soft?
My body is changing. I'm not sure if I'm losing weight or putting it on cause its doing reaaaal weird things. For example, my sides have less fat, but its come off the sides on my back, which for some reason makes my sides look wider? and I've got this new bum dent... how do i explain this.
ok so imagine a lady facing forward who's like an hourglass, well the hourglass comes out fro your hips to your waist, then journeys on down your theigh. My bum now dents in behind that theigh bit. And so now it only wobbles at the back, not at the back and side. Is that weird or what?
I've been a bit swollen with the whole ovary thing, so I dont know if that has anything to do with anything, but if I'm losing weight, its leaving me with weird pockets of fat everywhere!
i have one just under my belly button
one over each hip
and the inside of my theighs now look different! the whole leg doesnt look as big but there is this weird protuding peice of fat on them at the very top in the middle!
Strange!
Anyone heard of these things?
I think I'm going to have to go hard on the diet from now on. And as soon as I settle down and this new place I'm going to start doing some more cardio. Like twice a day as well as weights.
Also I've decided to tell the people at my new work that I'm allergic to wheat. That way they dont offer me the treats I cant say no to!
ok, so if i try really hard, I can safely lose 3 kilos by then. I'm not beat yet if i just get back up now!
Wish me luck!! ^_^

Nice outline and wow that is a lot of 'housecleaning' you got done, tied up loose ends etc, it will settle soon but to see you motivated to keep on your goals while moving etc is amazing!!

I hope everything is going well for you so far, Anne-Marie. How is your training and diet looking right now?
I hope you're feeling well too. You mentioned something about your ovaries in post number 8. If something doesn't "feel" right, you make sure you see the doctor right away. Like yourself, I question myself sometimes as to why I'm doing all this cardio, lifting, and dieting. It's no fun to go through, but the results are fun to look back on. But if you feel your health is deteriorating from all the work, then stop doing it immediately. I think you're a great person and inspiration, whether you're in competition shape or not.
If you need anymore encouragement or advice, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks guys
Its all going ok! I cant go as hard as I'd like to. I've changed jobs *again* haha, and this time its really challenging and I'm a manager so theres youngins I have to.. well manage and I find that really difficult because I just wanna please people and be accommodating... which doesnt sit will with my bosses....
hehe
I've just moved house into the hills, which means.. HILL RUNS IN THE AFTERNOON!
I got a bit upset with myself on my first hill run, I ran for probably 60 seconds and just about blacked out so I was questioning my fitness level. Then i realised that I was on a rediculously steep hill and that might have added to the difficulty! The rocks are lose there and i fell on my bum once or twice, but the view is absolutely spectacular. City on one side, national park on the other. So that's encouraged a bit moar cardio.
I've also cut down on the weights in the morning a little and I only do bis tris shoulders and abs and I spend the rest of the days on cardio. Doing machine change dashes to stop from getting bored but keeping a heart rate of 160-180.
My diet is really going well. I mean, its not a cutting cutting diet but its definately something I could do forever, even with new added stresses
Heres what it looks like:
5:30am Bit of museli (or a bar if I'm running late.. shh its ok in the morning )
6:30-7:30 gym
8:00 start work
8:30 oats in a cup at my desk!
12:00 usually ham and salad wholemeal sammige
3:00 handful of nuts
6:00 get home from work - seafood salad or half of one of those lean cuisine meals
7:00 run, or do stuff that you have to do before work the next day!
10:00 fall asleep no matter how hard I try to stay awake! hahaha
EDIT: Forgot to mention protein shakes, i have one if i get hungry
I'm definately eating enough, not really getting very hungry or cravey! but i think its because I've been so busy at work. I havent had headaches or anything but the main thing is chocolate, cake, ice cream, they're not only easy to say no to, I dont want them!!
I am noticing a difference, when i put my hands on my hips now it feels hard! and i can feel my obliques with my finger tips. I've noticed a definite increase in libido and feeling of self-worth believe it or not! Less insecure!
Also I fluctuated on the scales down below 50kgs. So somethings definately happening
Also, my old pants that used to be the 'tester' for if I was getting too big or not, are now baggy
So all in all I'm winning!
