As you can see, Tracey, the crowd is raveneous.
They need to see a plan of action, target dates,
and a clearly defined objective.
Hopefully, they can be patient for a little while
to give you time to gather your thoughts.
But just in case, you should offer them steak
dinners all around, on the house
and then pick up the tab before things get ugly.

You would have been completely justified in doing so. I thought it was someone screwing around, but I still shouldn't have posted that prior to knowing about the challenge. Good luck to all your girls!

FL- the plan...lol
Hey Everyone.....I'm still trying to figure this thing out...bear with me....lol
I am looking forward to becoming lean and sexy...I want to put on a bikini and not be ashamed to walk around, I have always covered up, I'm not going to do that this summer!!
I am 38 yrs old, 5'5" tall, currently weigh 131 lbs. I hold my fat on my butt and thighs, and now my abs are getting chubby too... I do not do cardio and I know that is my main problem, this program is going to kick my butt on the cardio part...lol. This is also giving my the motivation that I need to get running on the cardio equipment. My heaviest was 174 lbs and that was about 8 years ago. I have a 17 year old son and an 18 & 21 year old stepdaughter and stepson.
I have hated my lower body for as long as I can remember, taking the before pictures was horrifying....I can't wait to no longer feel that way!!!
Thanks for the welcome everyone, I'm really looking forward to meeting you on here and watching our progress over the next month..
Bring on the changes.....YAHOOOOO!!!!!

[ COLOR="Purple"]Hey Tracy!
Want to wish you all the best for the challenge! Tomorrow is a new beginning to the rest of our lives! I'm pumped. thanks for dropping by my journal, I can use all the motivation I can get
I got my fridge all stocked up, and threw out a bunch of packaged crap lying around here. So my mind is in the game! which is usually the most resistant part of all of this. So if we stick together , the next 30 days could be one of the best experiences our bodies could ask for
take care!
Piera

FL - Day 1
Well, I'm settling down for the day....got up first thing this morning and did 40 min of cardio and burned 420 calories....I thought I was going to die at one point but I made it through and I felt GREAT once I was finished. Followed the meals to a "T", I had to keep repeating to myself...."food is for fuel not pleasure, food is for fuel not pleasure"....lol...just kidding it wasn't that bad!! Did my first strength training workout today, I had to modify it a bit because I injured my shoulder earlier in the week and I was told yesterday that I have tendonitis in my rotator cuff as well as a tear, so I'm resting it for a few days. All in all I felt great today, enjoyed everything and looking forward to tomorrow!

go easy on the shoulder and chest work, you may have to skip some moves or modify range of motion..........or lighten.
Let us know how it goes.

FL-Day 2
Today went great too...
-Woke up and took my vitamins: C,B,E,multi, greens plus and glucosamine
-Ate breakfast - smoothie
-Snack - protein bar
-Lunch - chicken breast, tbs oil, Mrs. Dash seasoning, 1/4 tsp balsamic vinegar, spinach and red cabbage. Took glucosamine
-Did Cardio - 40 min burned 460 calories
-Snack - 2 rice cakes w/1 tsp almond butter on each, and an apple
-Supper - had another smoothie, took vitamin C, glucosamine
-snack - yogourt and protein powder
Today I challenged myself to beat my calorie burn from yesterday and I did it by 40 calories...yahoooo...lol, since I can't do upper body yet, I'm going to do an abs workout tonight. My shoulder is feeling alot better already but I know that I can't push it or I'll be right back where I was so I'm fighting every temptation to do shoulders and chest...lol
I also have all of my meals ready for the week, labelled and ready to go!!
Good luck to everyone this week, we can do this!!

Awesome! I know what its like to have injuries and try to work around them. What worked for me was incorporating yoga twice a week. It helped my back injury, and it really helps me stay flexible and my weigtht workouts are thus much more efficient. stretching really does play a big role in the overall fitness regime one takes. Its helped me on soo many levels, that now i can't go a week without doing at least one good yoga stretch class.
All the best!
Piera
