FL- Fit / Fab and Forty Something
Hello:
This is the first time I have posted anything on a site and should be fun getting feedback from all who are involved in this challenge.
I am turning 41 years at the end of the month and after losing 55 lbs I thought it was time to lose the last 20 and enter a fitness model competion. This Challenge is what is giving me the push to motivate me and push me over the final hump.
Here are my measurements:
Neck: 13"
Shoulders: 39 1/2"
Chest: 36 1/2"
Right Arm: 12"
Abdomen (site 1): 30 1/4"
Abdomen (site 2): 31"
Gluteus: 39 1/2"
Right Thigh: 24"
Right Calf: 13 1/2'
Weight: 155 lbs
Goal Weight 135 lbs solid
The first few days have been going well. I have lost 2 pounds in the first couple of days, but I will attribute that to water loss.
My biggest hurdle is giving up chocolate and I am a coffee junky. I still have the coffee to some degree as the fellas at work would find me unbearable if I went cold turkey and cut it completely. LOL! Needless to say I have cut down substantially.
Fitness wise I have followed the program as well have had to do my own PT with work as it is manditory 3 times a week. I am a bit tired some days, but I have to say it is a good tired.
Other than that it's all good.
Cheers,
Lee

Have you ever had a part of your body that you absolutly dislike. Well I have found my nemis. My butt and upper legs. They seem to just "hang" around doing nothing. LOL
This week in the eating department was OK. I found I was a bit hungry but work was fairly laborous so that probably had something to do with it. I only fell off the wagon once and had a 100 cal chocolate bar. I am OK with that. No more weight has come off, but these last 15 - 20 are the killer so I am prepared. I would rather be slow and steady and keep the weight off then taking it off fast and then turn around and put it right back on plus some.
My workouts were good. I want to zero in on the legs and butt as they aren't firming the way I want them to. Again, I guess that too will come with time and work.
To everyone, keep up the good work.
Lee

Hello Lee! It sounds like you're doing great so far. Congrats on your weight loss thus far. Those last 15-20 pounds are pesky, but you're right on with wanting to take it slow and easy. Yes, I despise my legs too!! We'll get them in shape. I hope your weekend is going great!

Finally... some weight has come off. Not much but still there is some. I was trying to figure it out why I was busting my butt and still feeling like crap. Maybe I should remember to take my Thyroid medication. Yup ladies. If this is an issue for you as well keep on top of it.
Work outs have been going well. The military fitness staff have been evil for our manditory Physical Training (PT) classes but very good. Yesterday was core, and then to put Linda workout on top of it. WOW. Wicked burn.
So I have to say the last five days was good.
Finally, if you are feeling crappy and down, watch that show "The biggest loser". Holy man, that got me motivated again. Kicked me in the butt.
Have an excellent couple of days.
Lee
