I can do it this time!!!!
I decided to continue my blog here because its easier to sneak on fast at work
So I dont know why but I'm having heaps of trouble eating, even the low carb day, I'm just not hungry!
I guess I should force it in just to speed up my metabolism and put some muscle on... right?
I'll bring the poster of that nationals competition in for you tomorrow!

Naaw thanks guys! I think that was me at like 12.5%bf or something? (according to a pinch test - the didnt test my bum or theighs though and that is where i hold 80 bazillion % of it.
I think you have to get to 10% to compete or something? So I was really close! You can see what my abs are going to look like if i dont lose too much muscle with the fat.
I read Pauline Nordins 'how to stay inspired' thread on bodybulding.com and she said she looks at a pic of herself, so i have this on my phone and on here, and everytime i see it I go "wow look at what i can look like if i just be disciplined!"
It's good to be your own inspiration too! It's easy to make excuses if you're comparing yourself to someone else its never a good idea!
I tried really hard to eat today, but its not easy! I wonder if i should just listen to my body and lay off the food for a bit? As long as what i do eat is clean I mean.
What do you think?

Remember, you've got to fuel the machine. Maybe what you need is a little change. is there a "happy food" you have given up? Maybe it's time to reward yourself. You have obviously been working hard, a one time "treat" isn't going to derail you. Keep it small, re-group, then hit it hard. Not to jump on th band wagon but you really look spectacular, keep moving forward....

Hey GG, how's the hunger goin? Sometimes I have that happen - when I'm not hungry and it's hard to force the food. I usually do force myself to eat something every 2 to 3 hours regardless. It may not be as much food as I should, but at least a little protein and carb each time. Gotta keep that metabolism working.
On another note - about thwarting the curse - I met a girl at The Cals this weekend. She is 48 and it was her first figure competition and just a mere 18 months prior she had a double transplant - kidney and liver. I couldn't believe it. Her scar was huge and very visible but her goal was to do a figure competition and she did it. I was so impressed. Here I am feeling sorry for myself having this stupid cyst and needing surgery and worrying about not being able to go to the gym and wondering how much it's gonna put me back. Talk about inspiration! Just thought this story might help you too when you're feeling doubtful about competing.

Thanks Pamgid! That's so lovely!
Thanks 6-pack-girl, I'm thinking maybe I should add some sauce or something cause maybe I'm just getting bored?
Bleh I had a bad last couple of days, my laptop died so i wasnt able to do any overtime for a few days at work, so everything was starting to get on top of me. I only had 150g of chicken left and needed another 200 so I had to try and think of something else I could buy at work, which ended up being a sandwhich - yay
And then I had to do so much work when i got home - i didnt finish until 9:30pm and then couldnt sleep cause my brain was still active, woke up at 6:30am, missed the gym, went into work and one of my bosses is still unhappy - what the hell can i do to please this guy?
Anyway, its supposed to be low carb day, but i didnt get time to get my food together last night, thinking Id be able to do it this morning, which also didnt happen, and after my long day, lack of sleep, missing gym and having mounds more work to do with my boss still miserable, I've eaten really badly already.
For breakfast I had a museli bar while running out the door. when I got to work I had some work museli.. then some toast...
I'm still down-hungry, I dont know whether it would be best to eat to cheer up, or still try my best and feel better in the long run.
I'm so exhausted, and will probably have to do more overtime tonight, and the thought of cooking and cardio on top of that is a little daunting.
*sigh*
Oh well, falling over is ok and long as you get back up straight away!

Wow, what an incredible story. This sport brings out the amazing in people doesnt it. You're right, so inspirational, and it brings things into perspective! Why is it so easy to blow thing out of proportion in your head?
Thank you xxx

So, I did realllly badly this weekend I still cant really eat! At most I ate 3 times a day, i tried to keep it as clean as possible, it was oats in the morning, something like a roll or something a normal person would eat for lunch, then half a lean-cuisine microwave thing for dinner.
Today I cooked 3 kilos of chicken, *brushes her hands together* hopefully that means I wont have to cook during the week which will mean more cardio time! which will be good.
Just looking at this poster for this competition, (i'll scan it in tomorrow), there arent any Novice WFF categories :\
WFF is better for me than NABBA because NABBA are more about muscle mass and the WFF divisions are more for the 'athletic look' and seeing as I'm not the most muscle bound figure enthusiast, WFF would be better. There is a NABBA Novice though.
Maybe I should go in the sports model division?
I think Jamie Eason did those sports model ones!
Hmmmmm, maybe I should see if i can get any bigger before September. Registration is the day before the comp so I guess I have a while to decide.
The thing is though, it is my dream to compete in the figure, and it's not like I was intending to win anyway. besides it will just be good practice for when I am big enough to actually be competition you know what I mean?
But perhaps I'll be more confident going in the Sports Model one?
Maybe I can do both?
Id better get my ass into gear anyway if i want to do either.
I think I might be finding it so difficult to eat because I'm so bored of my food! the chicken is ok, you can douse that in salt and herbs, but god I'm sick of tuna, and my protein makes me gag.
I was thinking maybe I could swap one of them with cottage cheese maybe?

I'm envious!
You look great if I may add to the theme here of onlookers and praise givers. In fact your a down right source of inspiration! thanks for that
My goal is get as lean as possible without losing too much of the curves. So that hard look isn't what i want, but more the lean and sexy look you have!! I wish you the best in your competition goals.
As for your appetite, it could be related to many things. Stress can lower appetite in some people, hormonal inconsistencies can do it as well, and once your body gets over the hunger signal, and you don't eat for long periods of time, the appetite goes away naturally because gastric funcitons are lessened and there is less stimulation of hormones overall.
I wish i had your problem of a lower appetite. I keep finding it hard to eat less, even of the clean stuff. Many say this is good, because this way I will actually be able to put on muscle and not be wasting my time in the gym with the hard and heavy weight workouts.
But soemtimes those carb cravings are horrendous! What do I do about that? any advice?
take care girl
Piera

Hello!! Thank you for saying I'm an inspiration! That means a lot!!
Lean and Sexy! I think I could get used to being called that ^_^
I've never been much of an eater, it's not something I enjoy, unless its chocolate or maccas or icecream :P you know what i mean? otherwise I'm so stuck for time I just cant be bothered, especially when you know its going to taste like crap. It's cause I keep forgetting its not about it tasting yucky now, it's about me looking awesome in the long run.
In a way! I'm just too lazy to eat! haha
Yep it's definitely good you can eat a lot! especially if you can keep it clean!
Yeah i had heaaaps of trouble with carb cravings at first! in fact, up until just recently it was my main source of goal-crushingness
I got some things from the chemist, they stop you from craving carbs and sugars and they really work!
Another thing you can do it compare it to hours on the cardio, puts me right off my food
But, if you really really need carbs, even if you know it's just a craving for the taste, you should have some! otherwise you will find it too hard to stick to your diet you know? So maybe even give yourself a certain time or day in your diet that you can have some carbs. If you do it every second day you might find that that will speed your metabolism up too!
Thanks for writing here! Same with you Pamgid! Its so cool to have other ladies to talk to about this stuff!!
We should form a fit-chick posse! But we'll have to have an intelligent and witty name for us any ideas?
