Default 1Texas1 Leaning Down Journal.....

Ok guys here I go....first time I have done a journal on a forum. I do keep a food journal though. I have kept a food journal for about 4 years now. As I have said I want to lean down so I will take all the advice ya'll want to give me. I would like to get my bf down to 12~10. I dont know what it is at the moment. I was going to get it done at the gym this morning, but the trainer I like wasent there so maybe tomorrow. I did go to the gym twice today and I burned a combination of (between morning and afternoon) 540 calories on the treadmill. I also went by the store and bought some almonds. From what I have read these the best. Tomorrow I will only be able to go once, because its bike night at Hooters..so Hooters wins out tomorrow....

Hey there girl!!

Glad to see you've started a journal! Having a workout journal as well as a food journal is a wonderful TOOL. It will give you a point of constant reference even years from now. After I had my last child and was able to start lifting seriously again, I went on-line and searched out my first on-line journal....it inspired me to go the distance and reminded me of what I can do too! It is great to have for your fitness journey,no matter your goals! It also allows for you to recieve some feedback and info as well!

We are all here to help one another, so don't be shy....after all this is YOUR journal!!

Good morning all....I got my husband to take some pictures of me last night and although they could have been way worse, but I did not like the look of them. I seem to store my fat in my leggs and thighs.......Much room for improvement and working on it....I also weighed this morning and I was down a whole pound from 130 to 129......Breakfast consist of 1 oz of almonds and 8oz of vanilla organic soy milk.....I try to stay away from dairy for the most part, but since its been months since i've had any I thought it would not hurt. For my mid~morning meal it will be a protein shake with 1 tbsp of sf..ff pudding..oh so good....

O.k......so first things first......YOU NEED A PLAN! No I'm not talking mealplan deals etc...I mean a roadmap. 1) Set up some goals 2) You need to figure your diet, ie: macros required...READ ALL STICKIES IN THE DIET/NUTRITION SECTION to get informed and then apply to your situation. 3) you need a good training regimen/routine.......I would suggest a full body routine done 2x week to start, using mostly compound moves.....to get your neural pathways used to what's happening or gonna be happening to them...muahh!

Oh ya, just remebered...Linda had a great article on a 3day split which may be of interest to you here's the link.....3 day splits article

I guess you could say that my main goan is to just lose the fat and lean up. I like working my leggs more than anything, because again that is my problem area.........

I am 5'4

weight is 129

I am not sure about anything else. I still have to get the guy at the gym to do my fat% and measure me......

Thanks I will have to go check out the 3 day split...

Hey girls when I make my protein pancakes I also add my organic extra virgin coconut oil, flax seed, chialife, hemp seed and sometimes unsweetened medium coconut. Do ya'll use any of this?

I store all mine there too!!! Theres several million threads I've started complaining about the size and wobble-ation of my bum! So you're definately not alone there!

I totally agree though! plan plan plan! then you can stick as close as you can to the plan and you'll see results! then change the plan up every 6 weeks so you dont get bored! Sucks that you have to change your whole lifestyle to change your body, but humans werent designed to eat processed foods and sit around! We were made to run and hunt and grunt and make fires!

well you know what i mean ^_^

Oh and beware of working out your legs, unless you're really cut they more often just look a little more fat if they have some muscle on them. But muscle is always good for burning more calories per day, just try not to get hung up on leg muscle size increasing, which I for one was hugely guilty of!

All of those oils are good ones.....I use UDOS 3-6-9 it's a mix of flax, sunflower, sesame, coconut, evening primrose, rice germ, bran oils, soy lecithin, oat germ and bran oil, mixed tocopherols.

Protein pancakes sound yummy.......

What is 'canned chicken breast'? Does this meat actually come in a can? If so, I'd recommend using fresh as you will bypass the salts and chemicals and preservatives and gain all the flavor.

Yes, it was chicken from a can. I normally do grill my chicken, but was being lazy and had one can.

Right back at ya, except I guess it's afternoon now, lol!!

How's your day going so far.......w/o's? So have you figured out your workout day yet....are you still doing cardio 2x day? Or have you started the 3day split....personally I'd just go ahead and start that....got nothing to lose....actually you DO, in a good way of course, lol!!

Check with ya later.......
