Thanks Toonces!

Actually, something is starting to happen to me! It's my second day on protein only, and soooo much water I cant stand it! I may as well just stay in the toilet! haha! I have a thousand times more defined quads and have changed my relaxed and front bis to show it off rather than try and hide it! Turns out I wasnt on enough carbs for a while, I think thats why I look flat and I dont feel tooooo much different on the protein only, except I am crazilly weak.

I did my full body glycogen depletion workout, and knew I was done when I started travelling to another dimension. Someone asked me a question and I just stared at them blankly for what seemed like 40 years. I tried to get in some cardio tday but found I only have the options of holding my head up OR doing cardio... not both! haha

So now I'm sitting here with a straw in a massive 2L thing trying to get it all drunk so I can just go to sleep and be over this day! And I only had to drink 4L today! I'm not sure how I'm going to go tomorrow! At least its upper body only, I have my mum with me tomorrow and I get to go food shopping for carb up supplies. Having them in the house is going to be painful!

Last night was my last protein only day, I worked all day (even though I'm sposed to be on leave) til about 9:00pm so that i knew I'd fall straight asleep. My last glycogen depletion workout went really well, and even though you can sqish my muscles good, I still looked pretty awesome! I was told that that would be the worst I was going to look, where I'd be holding water AND soft from lack o carbs... so I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing me carbed up! I'm doing my mum a dress rehersal tonight, I've put some 'hip swingin'' attitude into my quarter turns to help me stay in character as I turn, I hope I can pull off the confidence! Actually, Ammageddon will just take over, and probably metal horns salute the judges... who can tell :P

yesterday... BEFORE the last workout, I got to the gym with mum and looked down at my feet, suddenly realizing... I HAD FORGOTTEN MY SHOES! hahah! Luckilly it was right next to an op shop (I think Americans call them 'Thrift stores' or something) so I just grabbed some from in there. They're kinda cool! I like em! !

After the workout I was a bit of a drooling mass so I'm glad I went shopping first. I hid all the food in my bag and tried to do some cardio, you know, just to squeeze out every last ounce of glycogen, and I did some abs... pain and tough! When I realised that the cardio machine wasnt a very comphy pillow, I decided to keep moving by cleaning up the house.

While I was trying to sleep, the rice cakes and brown rice and banana was screaming at me from the kitchen:

"Geeeeg... come and eaaat ussss... it's practically tomorrow ANYWAY!" I told it to shutup and surprizingly fell asleep pretty quick! When I woke up, it was about 5:00am, and it was like christmas! I heated up some brown rice and mushed half a nana in there (for the potassium, AND for the delicious!) oh so good! I can have natural peanut butter on those crackers, and reduced salt almond paste etc, oh they are SO delicious I cannot describe. Muh to my surprise, it only took about 2 rice crackers before I became exceedingly full, then I remembered I had only been eating chicken breast and protein shakes the last few days and I probably had a stomach the size of a prune which is ALSO high in potassium and low in sodium. (How WEIRD is caring about sodium!) But that was good enough for me, its reaaaly easy to know when you've eaten enough. Full is so much different to not hungry anymore. Everything still tastes bland without salt, but I'm really glad of that, it's going to make the waffle and all of those desert pizzas taste so much more victorious.

I woke up this morning feeling like I've done it, I'm not allowed to train anymore (yay!) so I can work or do housework to pass the time (woah, over these last few months the house got reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally messy! Guess my priorities were elsewhere!) Scooting the crosstrainer off to my store room was so satisfying, my room is so clear it feels like I can breath. I was going to go into work today cause they need me so bad but then I remembered my revalations while training for this thing, it was friends and familly are more important than work and training! So I'm spending the day with my brother, I have a bunch of little meals (including some more delicious carbs! Mashed tato that my mum made for me! She's so proud of me She cant stop telling me how much more proud she is of me than I am of myself :P) Pretty soon I'll get my concerntration and strength back, and then I'll be able to cackle as hard as I used to, and come up with my stupid quirky responses to dumb things, and be kind to people even if they are being irritating or unreasonable. Not long now and I'll be myself again, and the next time I feel fat on my sides I'm going to smile because it will be there to remind me of what's important.

Pizza

jks!!!!!!

Man I rambled on a lot there, I feel really freed today, I'm definately not going to be able to hold back the relief tears on Saturday, 3 frikken days away.

To the Tune of Good Times by Hoodoo Gurus

You told me 'Eat fries it will relieve you'
Felt like I would die - so I ate some cheese too
`Cos food came back to me
And everything`s like it used to be.
All the free time we had we`ll have again.

Now my legs are strong and I can stand up
And to reach up high I'll put my hand up
I didnt think this through,
But in our heart of hearts we knew
The free time we had we`ll have again.

And again.
Now I know you`ll always be my friend
Til the end.
That means more to me than anything,
It`s everything.

Who needs yesterday - that diet's behind us
And fat may only serve to remind us
That what tasted good before
We'll appreciate so much more.
All the free time we had we`ll have again.

I think I may have got the timing of the carbs and the water wrong? Following too many different advices! I'm drinking 5L of water all the time right dropping it all the day before right? BUT! I also ate carbs today, and now, I look like a giant water balloon! I have my shoulders and my abs back but I've lost my waist... what do I do to fix this? less carbs tomorrow? stop water earlier? HELP!

Thanks LIzzy Well my water was mostly gone this morning, however I was left with a rock hard tummy! Hopefully that goes down before Saturday but I have definately learnt something about myself!

I'm stop water mid today and then stop the carbs all day on Friday too to try and get my stomach to stop being a big bloat factory, then Saturday I'll keep my tummy relatively empty before the sugar carb up before going on stage! Hopefully that will work!

2 days to go... I cant believe we made it this far!

GG, I hope you're ready for this competition because I know I am.

I don't care what place you receive from the judges, and I don't care how you compare to your fellow competitors next to you on stage. All that I care about is that you go through with this and step out on that stage in your posing suit (because you have worked so hard these past few months and invested so much time into this endeavor) and that you feel good and proud of yourself for finally reaching your goal--to compete in a figure competition.

Judging from your latest posts, you sound like you're feeling better since the time you were ill with the swine flu. I hope you're feeling closer to 100 percent now. Look on the bright side: When you're sick with the flu, you tend to look a little bit leaner in the mirror afterward, which works to your advantage for a physique competition. I know being on a low-carb diet makes you feel like crap and certainly doesn't help while you're sick. I've been there before, so I know what you're going through; it'll all be worth the effort in the end after the show is over, trust me. I hope your finger is healed now; busting your finger on the weights can be painful.

In your latest pictures you look absolutely phenomenal. You are definitely ready to compete in this show. Your midsection is tight, your arms and legs are toned, and you look beautiful. Just remember to smile while you're onstage. I think you'll win, but even if you don't take home 1st place, I think you still look like a true champion. Stay disciplined and stick to your plan up until the night of the show--the last few hours before a show are critical.

I've got a plane flight I've got to catch tomorrow, so I'll be away with no internet access for about a week. But while I'm away, I will be thinking about you and cheering you on. When I come back, I expect to read a cheerful and in-depth status report about your show.

Remember, smile!

Thanks so much you guys!!! I cant tell you what that means to me I hope you're away doing something fun Insex

6PG I saved your lovely message so I can read it over and over backstage on Saturday You're the best!

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of crazy bloating? I had a bit of a reaction to the carbs! It's kinda painful as well as looking bad. I dropped all my water today, and my muscles are full from the carbs. I took my jacket off and litterally gasped because I had no idea I'd look that good under there! Just gotta get rid of the preggers belly seeing as my abs are my best bit! !

I went through my list and made sure I have everything packed and ready, even though it's still early. I practiced my routine heaps and I feel really confident about it, and I practiced my new quarter turns trying to stay 'flexed' constantly. Tomorrow I'll try holding them all for a long time I also have my pre-rego tomorrow. I'm not sure what I'm sposed to take, my music I guess! And forms and stuff?

I get to go shopping for my pump up food too! I know an import lolly shop where I can get the american stuff you guys eat, like Hersheys or Reeces etc

I'm starting to wonder what I'm going to fill my head with after this comp, I mean, it's all I've been thinking about for the last three months! Time to put that energy into the website!! Well almost time. I'm so scared and excited and nervous!

And so proud of myself!

GG, you are the most awesome fitness babe out there! You have done what you set out to do. Get some natural honey for carb up about 20 min before you go on. Just suck that stuff right down. You might take some Niacin (250 mg) to up the vascularity about an hour before you go on too. Keep posing and your water will drop naturally. You are gonna kick ass so don't get too much into nitpicking your physique. Just don't dehydrate trying to overdo it. You absolutely should have some Pedialyte with you in case you do since dehydration is very serious!

Otherwise, have fun. Get lots of pics and vid. Go kill 'em!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Yay! I competed! It was all over pretty fast! Got up about 5:30 and got my tan on, Dream Tan works a lot better when its not old and gluggy - so I didnt put enough on! Woops! Ah well, it was a lot less messy! I already had everything packed and already had my gear and makeup on and off I went.

Figure Novice was 2nd on, there were 8 girls in my division, no height or weight class, and there were only a couple of us who were actually competing for the first time. I got to eat lollies (red liquorish) and Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, they were delicious! I pumped up for what seemed like 3 seconds before they called us out, I hadnt stuck down my butt yet so I glued it on and let it dry and went out. Then we stood in this 'before the stage room' for a hundred years. Wow! The caliber of the ladies was incredible! I recognized almost all of them from other shows I've been to see. I must have looked scared out of my wits, they were all asking me if I was ok :P.

We walked out on stage (I was first) and we all stood in a line in our 'relaxed pose' and by that stage I had already been placed in the bottom three. I was moved to the back and apart from an obligatory compulsary pose round I didnt come back up the front. 3 months of all that hard work and they judged me before I even showed them my abs or biceps and before I'd been standing there for 30 seconds. You'd be pretty upset if you went there to win!

I made a teeny mistake in my routine (went to slap my bum a beat too early :P) but I did the rest good and threw my hat into the audience! The whole audience cheered for me which was nice, and when we came back for the presentation at the end the MC came up and gave me a little interview about me that I was 'piss funny'. haha

cute

There was a girl there who went in intermediates who had the same problem as me both times she competed. She goes really hard at the training and dieting but nothing changes! Strange. We must be getting something really really wrong or just have captain adapto bodies or something.

All in all I'd say it was a positive experience, and I definitely couldnt have made it there without you guys and so thank you so much!!
