When it comes to the stage time, the judges don't realize what they were missing; as anyone here can attest, seeing you is a very pleasant experience.
Raijin's right: you're definitely #1 here.
And I think wil got it right; congrats on all the work you put in and competing! Most people wouldn't have the discipline or courage to do something like that, and we're all proud of you.
And if you want more practice getting the timing right when it comes to slapping your bum, I'm sure you'd be able to find some volunteers around here who'd be happy to help.

I'm so happy for you!
GG - Congratulations! You did it. I knew you could - and you knew you could - you just had to actually do it - and you did!!!! It sounds like the format of the show is so different from what they do here. Here everyone gets equal time on stage. Bummer that you didn't get more. And yet, the important thing is that you enjoyed the journey and grew from it. The show is just the period at the end of the journey. Sometimes I think the show is an anti-climax if that makes sense. Personally, I love the prep, pushing myself and watching my body change.
So ... what did you have for your celebratory meal? And, do you think you'll do another show? Did you get bit by the competition bug like so many of us do?

Thanks so much everyone! I just saw the pics and I didnt look much different from the other girls, just a lot whiter! haha woops! And I'd read "YOU CAN NEVER GO TOO DARK" so many time before! Ah well! It was cool seeing real fit ladies up close, and everyone was so lovely. I'm glad I got to experience and I really have you guys to thank for that!
That night I went out to dinner to one of those Korean places where you barbeque it on your table yourself! SOO COOL! I got a 'Mad Cow' Cocktail! it has cream on the TOP! can you imagine! and honey in it!!! OOOH SO GOOD! I wasa full by the time I'd finished the drink :P I tried to eat some of the bbq and almost made myself sick :P I had to leave an entire plate of food there but I still enjoyed it sooooooooooo much. It was still the greatest night ever and my face still hurts from smiling.
I'm so proud of my achievements, the actual comp didnt even really need to be there, and the stuff I can do now! I can say no to people! I can fire people! I can decide that I want to start working towards an early retirement cause what makes me happy is more free time to do stuff! I wanna work out in the garden! I wanna sit at my brothers house and watch TV with him and drop round my best friends place and have a cup of tea! I wanna go have dinner at my nans! And teach my dog new tricks! and how to heal properly, and how to go for walks without a leash! and and
I dont think I'd need to compete again, even if I had a winning physique I dont think I'd need some judges to tell me that I look better than the other people that just happened to be competing in the same show you know? I know that's not what it's like once you start competing in real shows, but that's all it is in Perth. And this place was supposed to be 'lean and symmetry' and the people that won in every division were fully muscular (some even bigger than the physique ladies) and posing, presentation, routine and symmetry had no bearing on the outcome. I dunno it's just not my thing. It reminded me of too many talent quests from when I was a tyke! You could belt out a song and have the audience in tears, but it would be the little kids tap dancing with the sequins and the lisp that would take first place. - but even then, do you want to win first place? Some ol judge telling you you were better than the next person? Or do you want to move the audience to tears? Eeeexactly!
I did it, and I am so happy and proud! I didnt cheat and I trained hard even though I was seeing no changes in myself, and that was tough! If i ever doubt myself again I can say, 'hey, you were wrong about being able to compete in figure' and if I ever feel alone I can say 'hey, the guys on EF were there for you even when you werent yourself, even when you werent giving back anything, how could you ever think that you're alone?'
And so much more, but those two things alone are so very very precious, and I wouldnt have them if it wasnt for this. I am so glad I did it, happier than you'd ever believe.

Wow GG, you did it!! Congratulations on the whole enchilada (food pun intentional btw, lol!) You are an inspiration and have become a force in your own right too! It takes great guts to face one's fears/demons head on and to stare them down.....the victory is yours now, and I believe that now nothing will ever stop you from what you want/need. Bravo!
