I DO I DO!!!!! eggs all day, every day.....
I got your emails, will look them over today.
You are way ahead and you should focus on the fact that since you last sent me stuff over a year ago your body has come a heck of a looooong way. You look nice and harder now, your shape, density and even the definition at this far out is very good.
You keep posting your plans each week and I can help you refine them as needed. Focus on the X, your fed looks for that too and slowly cut, slow, you have the time and can do it this so that you stay fill looking. Don't rush for the sake of needed to see the finished look, I get that way too, I want to see the stage look weeks ahead but then your not peeking when you should so, keep focused on the periodization.

I agree with Linda. You are looking good, especially in the abs. Good definition all around. Can even see some striations in your delts in the side shots. I am going to have to defer to Linda as far as critiquing the routine as I am not familiar with the judging criteria. I liked the routine, but it is quite different from the type of routines I am used to. It seems to be a cross between figure and fitness in the shows I've seen. One thing I did notice is that your hair covers your back and I would wear it in a way that allows the judges to see your whole back when you are in your rear shots.

Thanks guys!!!
Yay! You guys think I look like a competitor? That's so awesome. I think maybe I have one of those hang-ups about being too musclesmall cause you guys dont seem to see it! hehe
That's such awesome news that you think I've come so far Angel! I'm so excited! If I keep posting weekly progress pics will you be able to tell me if I'm cutting too fast? It's hard to tell for me because I think the place I need to be is still so far away you know?
It seems like that peaking thing is the key, and I have no idea how to do it so I will honestly just do whatever you tell me!
Toonces!! Did you like my hat spin? hehe
Yeah there are a couple of bits of it after watching my vid I know to work on, and another couple I'm still not sure of at all, hopefully Angel will have some ideas of what to change for me! More poses instead of some of the unco bits maybe?
The hair was just clip in extensions for a photo set, I'm going to be short haired GG for the competition!
(and back to the journaling)
I didn't have my rest day yesterday on accounta the millions I had during the week being sick. So I did Raijins bis and tris! I found that those behind the head tricep things a bit uncomfortable on the shoulder if I went down too far, any suggestions on that? (dont go down as far!! DUUH) haha shuttup me
Speaking of telling myself to shut up! People are really starting to notice the changes in my bod at the gym, and this one girl came up to me this morning and said "you arms are really toned!" and I said "THANKS!" and she goes "You're so lucky!!" *walks off*
and I was all *snap*
LUCKY!?!1?! LUCKY!?!!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!!!!
I WANT SOME CHEESECAKE!!!!
(I have a huge craving for cheesecake btw)
But of course, I didnt say any of those things, I know in RL, that she was just being really nice and giving me a compliment. And giving random people compliments are hard and awkward and you say things that dont necessarilly come out as you want them to. I've done it a thousand times! Awkward social situations! haha but yeah, funny head.
I think you guys call 'cheesecake' 'pie' or something. I dont know they went to a 'pie' shop in True blood and it looked like the 'cheesecake shop' to me. GAWD TEHY LOOKED DELICIOUS
haha didnt take long for the hunger to kick in!
I did a bunch of reading up about cheating too, I'd love to hear your opinions but it sounds like you should just be carbing up and not eating cheese cake when you cheat unless you need it emotionally?
I have that posing seminar starting this Sunday so I will be able to ask them what they think of cheats as well.
Anyway I didnt do the stand alone cardio on Sunday, I had to try and fit in so many things, by the time I got round to those photos I was so exhausted that I couldn't do em, I think the thought that I was yet to grill massive amounts of chicken and still do the cardio then go to bed and go to work the next day was all too much for me!
This morning I did chest, forgetting to give myself that rest day between tris and chest (woops) my tris are going to explode but overall I feel incredible!
xxxx's to you all!

Geez, I am never too sure how to respond to your posts, because in each one there is at least one thing that just cracks me the hell up... In this case, it was the whole True Blood reference...
For the tricep behind the head press, try a lower weight if you need more control. Just remember to keep the elbows close to the ears, don't let them flare to the side. Or, you can do this exercise unilateral/single arm on each side with lighter weight.
Would love to see the vid of your routine... not that thats my area of expertise, but hey I am a guy and would love to see it just the same...

haha! Glad you liked the True Blood reference! But it's true! And at the end of one of the seasons of Dexter his friend who was dying wanted to taste the perfect Key Lime Pie, and that totally looked like a cake too!
A delicious cake of death.
Alright! I will try it a bit lighter next time, but it didnt seem too heavy? I'll susperiment
You are the cutest for wanting to see the routine! I am going to upload it once I know what I'm doing a little better I just wanted to get this draft to Linda so she can add her two cents before I practice it to perfection and then have to change it up... you know?
Still I owe you big time for this routine you obviously spent heaps of time on making it perfectly Geeg-o-licious so if you'd like to see the draft too I'll email it to you but... I'm not at my best! haha
The hat thing is cool though. I wish your routine only had to go for 3 seconds, then I'd be set :P
WOOPS! I made a big ass error today! I forgot one of my meals, which resulted in (said in one of those voice over voices for big car-smash adverts) BIG HUNGER!
And once I finally got some food to it in time... it was too late. I was insatiate. Insane-tiate So I went hmmm, maybe I should have a cheat! In my obvious wisdom. I went "seeing as I've totally ben obsessing over cheesecake all weekend, why dont I go eat one, cause that will surely stop me from being hungry and it will get it off my mind to eat clean forever!"
Whilst walking over to the cheese cake I noticed a chocolate that grabbed my attention...
and then I went SCREW IT I MIGHT AS WELL MAKE IT A FULL CHEAT MEAL! and got a burger too :\
haha
they were all small, and all delicious! but by the end of it, I was still hungry. And all together those things would have come to 1500 cals on their own, so I probably lost a day or two of progress, hopefully I wont go backwards! haha I guess we'll see in next weeks progress pics!
I will take it for what it was, a nice big juicy lesson learned. Although delicious it's totally not worth it cause it's so much harder to eat good again afterwards and it's just not enough! You end up wanting it just as much as you did before you ate it so you cant really use 'getting over it' as an excuse. And also 12 weeks out of the billions of years you have left to live isnt really that much to ask to not eat crap! And now I also gotta go through the whole craving it again! It was silly!!
Lucky I have lots of time left to learn from this and move ever forward!
Progress pics o'clock!

Hello!
Well I had so much more energy this morning after eating yesterday! But there is no way I would have made up for the energy in by working that bit harder in the gym this morning. It was awesome though! I just about died a few times! haha
Tuesdays are always so busy at the gym, and I couldnt get the seated row but I ended up doing a rowing machine as my interval cardio so hopefully that helped a little. I'm sore everywhere! legs, arms, chest, back, it's pretty awesome
Angel had lovely and encouraging things to say about my routine so I'm dying to get home and make it kick ass!

Hi Geeg!! I agree with what the others have said....you DO look much more solid this year. Your legs especially, and I think you should pause and give your self a pat on the back for that one since your legs were a focus/goal of yours of recent......good job girlie girl!!

hey guuuys, something hurdies when I run My inside calves! I thought they were just getting worked out cause of the running but it hurts more and more are they shin splints? cause i looked em up and the world says to rest! but I cant rest!
Should I go to a podiatrist or just one of those shoe places? Or should I just hure a bike instead of treadmill?
I was happy to just bear it but it's starting to hurt pretty bad!

GG, is the pain in the front of your leg (where we would call it the "shin" or is it really in the calf muscles?

Fortunately I have never had to deal with shin splints myself, but everyone I know who has say they are a real bitch. I have had numerous times when my calves got really tight after several days of intense running, and I had to really slow down or even stop. Either way since it seems to be the running and not the resistance that is aggravating you, thats what you need to nix. As you guessed the bike is a good alternative for your cardio, also the elliptical since it is lo impact as well. Hopefully you have one of these machines convenient for your intervals. No skipping for a couple days as that will likely annoy the calves the same as running. I would suggest the machines for your intervals for a couple days, and swimming (can't remember if you said you had access to a pool or not) for your evening cardio session.
It definitely annoyed the hell out of me when it happened to me (since I love running more than any other cardio), but after 2 or 3 days of sucking it up and doing the cardio I didn't like, I was fine and was really feeling good to get back to my running!
Hope this helps...!

Damn! I've had everything from shin-splints to stress fractures to calf strains to ilio-tibial band syndrome to achilles surgery to whatever's next (never believe anyone who tells you running is a cheap sport). So, I would see a good sports med physiotherapist (physical therapists for the Americans among us) and, yes, they may advise seeing a podiatrist.
Do not just go to a running shoe place! (!!!!! extra ! added for emphasis)
And as rajin noted, bike or elliptical can work well, UNTIL you can see a physio. Seriously, having had so many running injuries that have calmed down until I resumed running and then reappeared again, I can't emphasise enough that seeking good medical advice is vital - and as far as running goes that's usually from a good physio unless you know of a great doc who understands runners in the area.

Hello everyone!
Thanks for the advice! I've started going to the gym in the evenings instead of doing cardio at home. It's good it means home is relax time! (or cooking time.. whichever way you wanna look at it :P) My legs still hurt going up/down stairs and when I jog between the machines in my interval training - but I'm sure it will get better
The training is going awesomely! I had a bit of slip ups with the diet on the weekend, I took some progress pics but it looks like I've actually gone backwards so it's a bit too depressing to put them up!
I went to the posing seminar and they told me I have awesome abs Which is nice!
I'll just kee doing what I'm doing and if I've made no progress by the next posing class I'll have to make some changes to the diet! *sigh* maybe I'll have to take out the rice! haha
xx's to all!

Hello guys!
Just dropped in to say everythings going well! I'm really getting into this interval training, although it IS making me hate other gym users :P this one girl was all 'can I work in with you on the lat pull downs' so I said ok, and then she did a really slow set, and then sat on it and stretched! what the hell? What's she doing yoga on it? Anyway I'd finished everything else I was doing in between and did longer cardio to wait for her. Thought she HAD to be finished soon and went and stood behind her to let her know I was waiting, no she just kept stretching. MY PRECIOUS HEARTRATE!
haha
I'm sure I was more tolerant before :P not that I said anything
Anyway, I'm sticking to my diet really well and trying as hard as I can with the training, I've even started doing classes to make sure I work hard enough with cardio, but nothing seems to be budging on my body. My weight is back up at 50kgs and staying there, and I dont look even slightly different. Maybe it's just really slow? I dont know hopefully the Sunday people will be able to help me, but I'm pretty sure I'm on minimum cals possible and I'm working my butt off (not literally unfortunately!) Maybe I need to add more cardio?
xxx

Oops... one of the things I forgot to mention in my novel to you is that interval training can be a bitch in a public gym, especially if its prime time when you are there. From training at a private facility, I got too accustomed to being able to commandeer whatever machine I wanted when I wanted it. Just remember your interval doesn't have to be confined to 'official cardio machines', you could do intervals on a step, skip rope, mountain climbers, plain old school jumping jacks, etc.
I can't imagine you aren't seeing results yet, but its still just a couple weeks into this program. Sometimes it takes people longer to 'break the inertia' and start seeing changes, so stick with it. I really think the cardio prescribed in that program should be plenty, but if you can throw in a class without it burning you out, then go for it. I would personally lean towards higher intensity during the cardio time you allocate as opposed to 'more/longer cardio' in general...

I'll start by stressing that I'm no expert, in fact some would claim that I don't have a clue and they're possibly right. Now having said that, I wonder if you're stressing a little too much about the scales and a visual self-appraisal when the better way of keep track maybe calipers and tape measure. Just a thought.

GG, don't sweat it. A girl at my gym is training for a bb show about the same time as your show and she was going through a similar experience. One thing with women is that they will fluctuate over a monthly time due to their hormonal cycles. Water retention may account for what you are describing, but that's just one theory. I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep doing weekly pics, same light, same poses, same suit, same location. That way you and your trainer(s) can make more objective calls.
