Progress Pics
These are a week old now, I'll try and take some more this weekend.
I know I should have my knees together in that one, but i thought the arm looked cool enough to use as a progress pic. Also my calves look way better than they used to - they're still tiny but they're like twice the size of before thanks to Raijin
You cant really tell on these angles but I still have a giant amount to lose off my hamstrings, although they are getting a lot tighter too, I think I had more muscle there than I thought too, and besides with the shoes on the big legs seem to appear like they're in proportion? It's strange
I'm going to start practicing posing without the mirror from today! I might video tape it so I can make sure that I'm doing it right and moving between the things more fluidly! and I'll practice up the routine too. I just need to work on the tude rather than being all shy and whatever :P

Holy abs and delts!
Tude huh? Your title of EF Rock Chick implies plenty of it. If you can carry some of that over to the stage, you will probably melt the audience and judges.. so be careful.

Woops! I had another sad day!
I took some progress pics on the weekend but I was so busy this weekend I left the pics uploading from the camera over Sunday night, and was just about to jump on the cardio last night when I saw them, and I burst into tears! haha
I've been noticing it looks like my legs are getting bigger somehow - even though they're getting tighter - and this time I was wearing a g-string but even from the front I look like a pear. Legs wise, I look disgusting - like really bad... unless you like that sort of thing. Which lots of people really do! like Coco or whatever her name is is on magazines and stuff like that, but it's SO not what I want. I'm not sure what I need to do to kill those thunder thighs, less weight, more weight, more cardio, less leg-cardio if there even is such a thing.
I was sooo upset, haha, I couldnt even finish my cardio I was crying so hard.
I guess having big legs makes your waist look smaller though hey?
I did lots of searching on the internet and all i seem to see is 'trust the process' and crap like that, but I cant see this sorting itself out without some sort of change! So from tonight I'll start the 2 hours of cardio a day *sigh* which I think means I'm gonna have to get a bit less sleep which sucks because I'm exhausted as it is! I guess having to work harder even though your more tired is what makes this preperation so hard though right, just gotta push through. I'll have to relegate posing and routine practice to weekends only. Or I could take my shoes into work and go lock myself in the toilet and do it at work? I dont know.
It's going to be hard to be proud of myself if it looks like I'm wearing baggy Mc Hammer pants when I'm naked though...
*sads*

OK, I'll say this as nice as I can because it's you GG....
Your legs are fine!!!!! Don't freak out!!!! Looking at your latest pics, you look great including your legs!!! Remember, you're not in a bb contest. You are not going to get striations in your legs. You have good muscle in your legs, like a lot of female competitors do. That's how you are supposed to look!!!! Hang in there. You keep the course, you hear me

I really can't see what the problem with the legs is... They look fine in those pics just like Toonce said. So unless you are seeing something in the mirror that doesn't convey in the pics, I don't get it.
I would be careful bumping up the cardio that much seeing as you are still several weeks out of the comp...

I hope that my advice and words of encouragement (from all members) are helping out today GG. I am confident I can go on record here as saying everyone here thinks you are doing better than you think you are.
But if you still has the sads, there is always this...

Will you please show a bit more confidence in yourself. You look amazing and your hard work is really showing. I'm sure you have a very tough body image roadblock to work around. When you look at your rear images, how are you looking? This is gonna sound dumb but maybe, as a tall girl, there is just enough downward angle to add a shadow to the view.
From the latest shots I'd say you have already achieved a torso many pro's would be envious of. I'm sure if you ask 6-pak, Linda or any of the other female athletes on the site, they would all have an area that gives them a bit of trouble. Stay the coarse, believe in yourself and finish strong!!!!!

show me the pics, I will be honest.
and yeah, us gals can have some issues with being hard on ourselves.........give gg a break....but do keep reminding her how much of a black beauty she is, it will help bring her to a better place and feel better.....sometimes it can take us a few mins, sometimes we need a bit more convincing.
Its amazing the power of the female mind.
especially the extremes of a female mind with pre or post eating disorders like me.....I can feel like she is saying and its sometimes feeling even more extreme, but I learned to check myself - we can keep her in check till she checks herself......some days the mirror sucks!

hullo, bigger and tighter is good, if you go in with skinny legs you won't do well.
growth is good.......to compete.........now if you WANT skinny legs then you may need to rethink the category you enter or competing at all.......get my point?
lemme see your dang legs.......send me some pics, I am sure you are having a bad eye day.

GUYS!!!!
Thank you so much
*hugs* you all
And thinks Linda for understanding the psycho thoughts! I dont want skinny legs, I just didnt want them to look fat, and I know now, logically, that there is no way that my legs could be too 'muscly' you know, it would take a long time to get 'too muscular' anywhere! and it certainly couldnt happen by accident! i dont know what I was thinking, I was just really disspointed with how I was looking cause I was just expecting so much and seeing so little! But I dont know if I was even seeing things right! I've been too scared to look at them again! I will take more this weekend and see how I go!
and thanks SO much for the kitten Raij! and the pep talk A1, and for being adorable Wil and IS!
Thanks Linda, I have to learn this checking myself thing, you could really let it hurt yourself if you werent careful!!
This is going to be great, I'm going to be able to look back at the hard times and say I never gave up! The more challenges the better! Bring it all on! With you guys helping me along theres no way I can lose!
xxxx
(thanks so much!!!)
Hey on a less emo note, I got real funny yesterday! Like It was hard to concerntrate and I was shakey and my eyes wouldnt focus - was that just a sugar low? I ended up bumping up the cals to 1,500-1,700 ish cause I've been so exhausted but it's still mostly protein and didnt seem to be helping so I'm assuming it's a carb issue? I ended up eating half a wholemeal bun thingy (wow I get full fast now!) and everything sorta came back into focus instantly! AND I have stacks more energy today! Maybe I should do that 'more carbs every third day' thing cause that's when I seem to cark it! :P
Did I tell you guys I was trying to work out something cool about every week for extra motivation cause I'm so close now? I just gotta get through it week by week!
This weekend I'm gonna finish my routine perfect! and pose without mirrors! I'm also going to maybe film the first episode of this project (part of ammageddon) I'm working on - just for something fun!
Next week I get fitted for my suit!! YAY! I wonder if I'll get it next week! ! Then it's Daddies day in Australia that weekend so that will be fun and time consuming!! I was thinking of getting my dad tickets to drive a Rally car for 12 laps! that or a caves tour in the country? might have to do that after though cause its all wine wine wine cheese cheese cheese down there :P and then the weekend after that it's my dad's birthday, and then after that I get my hair done, then after that there is only one week before I get a week off work! and then! it's there! I did it!
I feel like I'm addicted to giving up and I'm like 5 weeks away from beating that addiction! hahaha
I'm going to be so stoked with myself I wont know what to do!!!

Glad to see you are back on track. In regards to your questions...
1) Keep the leg exercises weighted.
2) The sqaut hops substitute for regular squats, not the bosu lunges. So solly, but you aren't getting out of those that easy.
Since you are of the right mindframe again, here comes the 'tough love'...
GET BACK TO WORK SEXY BITCH!!!

^^^^^^^^^ what he said!!!^^^^^^^^
and make sure you are holding your poses for at least a minute. SQUEEZE while you ar edoing them. THis will not only get you ready to pose, but it will be a great isometric workout. You should be really winded after a posing session. But make sure you don't show that...keep your belly in tight so the judges won't see you breathing. And flex everything, all the time. FOr example, front double biceps shot, make sure the legs, abs, lats...everything is flexed You are soooooo close

OK! And I will perfect my routine this weekend too so I can show yall!
Best leg workout ever thanks Raij! I'm SOOOO freaking sore today, especially the inside bit. /me walks around like she's been riding a horse non stop for a year
then Bis and Tri today went really good, I kicked it's butt! I'm going up in weight and everything! even on other things like shoulders and stuff! My abs and lower back always feel really worked, even when I dont work them! It's like holding me upright is hard enough :P It's also getting harder not to hunch over - I guess on accounta me being so zhausted.
Hey guess what tomorrow it will be 4 weeks and 6 days! YAY!
I gots a cold though so I wont go to the posing thingy cause they will hate me if I give them a cold :P but I'll practice lots at home!!

Take care of that cold GG!! Glad to 'hear' you are feeling on the upswing though.....those bad body image days can be a real biotch......just try to ignore that silly negative 'bastard' voice, you are doing soooooooooo awesooooommmmmiiiiiioooooo!!! Seriously girl, look at you....you're DOING IT this time!! Don't let old thought patterns bring you down, destroy them by keeping onward despite them!!
(I don't pop in often, but I'm still cheering for ya on the sidelines nonetheless)
