Jen's Lean and Mean Journal
hi everyone, my name is jennifer and this is my first post. i am sharing my fitness journey on the lean and mean fitness plan with others who are on this as well. i am trying to lose a significant amount of fat and get towards leaning up and out for competitions next year in the fall. i have been working on my fitness and weight loss for the past ten years and it's been a rollercoaster ride and this time even though i am sticking with it for the long haul, i cannot say it is without it's setbacks or any easier either...i hope and wish everyone the utmost best in thier journey.

Hey Jen,
I am now subscribed although I have been only poking about sporadically.....once fall hits, the board gets more poppin although this board always has traffic through all the other areas but I have not been around enough all year but am going to try to be here daily now......just organizing and schooling. I do get subscribed posts though so post or not, I am watching my gals on here closely to make sure you are treated well and get answers etc.

Today I am back on track after a disasterous weekend. Actually, it wasn't disasterous, I ate somewhat to plan, oatmeal, yogurt, then a nice roasted turkey sandwich, then yogurt, then cereal....i've been buying crystal light by the box loads everytime i get paid. at wally world theyre so cheap, 2 bucks for a box of ten so i definitely stock up. i bought some more small things for my plan. i bought another two cases of yogurt, two containers of cottage cheese, whole grain bread, found another 3 boxes of brown rice in the cabinet which my mom actually threw at me to remind me i still had food. i then proceeded to make corn and brown rice to accompany all of my bowls of small pieces of chicken and ....eck, canned chicken. you know, i thought i would be able to handle it so i bought like ten of them thinking it would be easy and so delicious and when i made it it came out sooooo nasty! i spiced it up with hot sauce and chili powder and it.....omg, it has the texture and smell of freaking dog food. so i am sitting at my desk at work, with my sore knee propped up and i threw it out of my bowl and only ate the brown rice. i have another four bowls with a scoop or two of this shredded chicken crap. i didn't buy anymore frozen chicken or any tuna cause i knew i wouldn't eat it, so why waste money? now, i am relying on eggs and protein shakes as a protein source because this will drive me to vegetarianism. arrgh! so far, i've eaten yogurt, a piece of whole grain bread with a handful of sliced deli turkey, my brown rice....so i guess that counts as four meals sort of? with another two t ogo? the other ones will be a bowl of kashi and some oatmeal for sure, i already have it planned out...

Sounds like maybe 2 meals if at that.......lol!! Welcome to the boards btw!! I have never been game enough to give canned chicken a try.....now I doubt I ever will be either, lol!!
Got some great goals set out for yourself too.....be patient and only great things will come!!
