Lets start from the very beginning (a very good place to start)
Hello everyone! My name is gYmGiRl! Nice to meet you all!
My goal is to get to and maintain an lower than your average BF % for a women while remaining a happy happy chappy! I also like muscle mass, but I am happy to put that on slower than a snail on anti-roids if it means maintaining a fat percentage I can be happy with!
Just a mere 4 weeks ago I was at 11ish% body fat, and currently I am at:
Weight: 55 kgs
BF% using Jackson/Pollock 7
Caliper Method: 18.75%
4.6kgs of me is fat
lean body weight is 20.32
The good news is that I put 3kgs of muscle on post comp! woot! so really I should be at my target fatness at aboot 50kgs - assuming I'm not putting on any muscle!
So here is my plan
#1
Get Lipo
#2
Be a rich rockstar who gets PTing and their meals cooked for them etc
#3
Get excited and put some effort in like a biartch!
ok, for serious now!
I'ma cut doon the weight training to 2 days a week focusing on upper body only - (I'll get some legs later) and do three mornings a week of 45 minutes of hard-ass cardi-blow. I am also going to learn a new super hardcore pole move once a week so I'll be playing on that thing every night too which should burn a fair bit of calories. Once I get down to where I wanna be though I'ma ween off the cardi-blow and watch that I'm eating the right amount to not get fatter and slowly bring back in the weight training. I'm fully aware I wont be able to put much muscle on that way, but being thin is the priority now cause its makin' me sad and I'm a firm believer in dont complain aboot stuff if you're not going to do something aboot it!
Also I'll try and eat around 1500-1800 cals a day because I dont want to go into starvation mode again cause I soitanly aint keepin' that up forever nun!
I think I should give myself til next year too! Just to make sure I stay on target (you're TOO CLOSE!) stay on target!

Blogo Posto the Foist:
Well, I think I hit the rockiest of bottoms today, which is why I started this training journal. I have back fat rolls now... can you believe that? I guess I put my fat on in funny little clumps but I think that's insane! its really uncomfortable! My pants are all too tight and my shirts actually fit properly now. My but although bigger stays northward now (must have been all that running!) and I have two fat rolls between my boobs and my stomach even when sitting up straight. Yuck!
I feel like Jabba the Hut! (Or the Michelen Man)
But I'm really excited about getting my bod back. The look I want is my combat shoot, that was pretty much before I started cutting and it was when I liked the way I looked the best (preffered to the comp look!) and it's me, so it's totally achievable! I just have to be patient! somehow! I guess :P
Sometimes I get sad and waste so much energy wishing I never did that comptition, but I know it's stupid to do that because i acheived so much, and in reality, this is such a small amount of time in my life and even this part is teaching me a lot about myself.
It's got me wondering about depression though, is it an illness or a state of mind? I cant decide. I wanna try and beat it on my own though before I turn to docs etc. Just gotta be positive!
I figure if I make these changes and nothing happens (just like the cutting) I might have to go get my thyroid checked out.
Lets see how we go!! yooss!!!

GG, my name is Tooncesthecat. Nice to meet you!
Love the Star Wars references, BTW!
Most important thing is your mental state so you nailed it when you said you should be positive. Just let things come to you! Use the Force! Enjoy each workout and meal for what it gives you and if it's taking away from you instead, take a break and come back another day.

Welcome Gymgirl, I'm A1, You remind me of another poster here. She was an incredible athelete yet didn't believe in herself. She finally made it through to a competition and was really stoked. She had finally conquered the funny monkey people and they were no where to be found on her back. But loosing the monkey people meant that her cardio was a little less effective because she wasn't carrying those ba-gilion Kilo's of extra weight. We all told her she was incerdible and that since the invention of pre-sliced bread she was the bomb. She didn't want to believe us here at EF. I hope you will stay arround, be positive and see the good things to be gained from your hard work.
again, welcome to the new girl.....

SINCE you have had so many highs and lows I would say a visit
to the doctor about your thyroid is an optimistic thing................
Also I think you are not giving yourself a chance to recover and
come back with a vengeance, just a few tid bits to throw in there.
Hang in there ,I am sure things will get better.IMF

Hi GG, lizzyb here!
You know, so many things come to mind reading your posts recently.......I wonder just how aware you are of how far you have come in a little over a year now? Seriously......go back and read through your old journals....the 'old' GG! I think you have acquired more wisdom from this entire experience than perhaps youare even aware of. I sure hope you are not beating yourself up for NOT having been bit by the competition bug.....it's not for everyone and there's nothing wrong with that either. Trying to force yourself to be something you are not, well is just plain silly.
Sounds like your goals are attainable and realistic too......glad tos ee you're not gonna go nuts and cut calories too much......you already know what to do and how to do it, as this is how you were traininig before the competition diet and training.....so not a giant leap of faith, you CAN do it. I think it's pretty cool that you even prefer your 'look' pre-contest diet/training.....how cool is that??!! Seriously, imagine if you hated the way your body looked before taking on the challenge of completeing a competition.....I think you'd have been hit ALOT harder emotionally post competition if you didn't already have the experience of a great physique prior to comp prep.....know what I mean?
Why do you keep calling this "depression" anyways? Is the situation hopeless? Are you helpless? Meh......I doubt it!! You can do this kiddo.......just put one foot in front of the other and keep moving......having that goal really helps to put your life back into perspective!
~Cheers kiddo!!

Thanks guys!
REally! one month and I wont be a fruit cake! hehe thanks so much it feels good to know i'm not so strange!
Thanks everyone! Its so good to have your support still! I feel like I would have given up on me a long time ago maybe that's my problem!
I've been eating pretty well! I'm gonna start being even better next week (get to cook-prep this weekend) and I've been doing lots of cardio and HEAPS of pole! I even learnt how to do a shoulder mount to inverted crucifix! how cool is that! ! I knew those abs were still under there!
I'm feeling great just exercising more, looking in the mirror isnt so sad anymore, cause I know I'll get my body back soon enough! and besides, this time i get to see results!
Nothing yet, I'll do some calipers and stuff on the weekend but the weight is staying steady to the 1st decimal place of 54.7.
It doesnt matter too much to me at the moment, i feel really excited by how much I'm loving cardio and excercise again!
My knees are still being big jerks, and its making me have weird form and the outside of my but/leg bit get sore just from the crosstrainer (still I'm doing it on uber heavy!)
I might go light weights on everything next week and give my jointies a rest! I did 15kgs each hand incline chest dumbell eprss this morning and almost lost an arm behind me. I didnt think to let it go of course, just hurt the crap out of my arm! all the way from my elbow to where my neck joins my head! it's ok now though, just gotta be more careful
Another girl from the comp came up and asked how I was and just as I was answering she was all "I FEEL LIKE A WHaLE!" haha so that made me feel better and also I spoke to another lady who competed before and she said she even got cellulite etc after her comp, so maybe I did get off easy?
Not only that but with my little frame, I hide the fat well as long as I've got non-tight clothes on (man! All the things I own are tight!) haha
I'm really looking forward to doing this again, I'm really excited! and this time I'm going to appreciate my body so much more. I already do!
I love all of you guys so much!
xxxxxx

Hello everyone! I'm preparing food again today! I have but little water jug friend (he has a smiley face) so I'm getting back into all of it! I'm really excited about it too!
I weigh MORE already (consistantly) 50kgs now, but I feel like I look better so I dont really mind My obliques down to my legs are starting to come back! (and I have to try pretty hard to get a back - crease)
I also went to see a doctor mcdocterons aboot my knees, and she said that my quads have overpowered my glutes and hams and it was pulling on it! DOH! So I gotta ignore my quaddy quads for a while and just do one legged and hammy wammys only. I might be able to strap em up so that it doesnt hurt to do things tooooo. DAMn IT! must have been when all the muscle came on after all that cardio from the contest prep. I think thats where the whole 3kgs went

Quads overpower hammies in a lot of people. Make sure you do stiff legged deadlifts! Best thing for hammies IMO!

Thanks Tooncekitten!
I usually do stiff leg deadlifts but since the knees have packed it in, I cant! I did a few today with a 10kg barbell but it was still too much! I did some non weighted on the bosu, that's sposed to be awesome for my issue. and this thing where you lie on the floor on your side with your knees bent (one on top of the other) then you lift that leg so its not resting on the otherone, and twist it so your butt and foot stay in the same place and just your knee goes up and back down without resting (thats one the doc taught me)
I also did hammies on the ball cause that felt pretty good! stacks of the sexy adducter machine and lots of ball-adducter stuff. My knees felt almost instant relief til the pump started wearing off, but its great to know i dont have arthritis or anything and I get to work on my glutes even more!
Counter-productively though, I'm doing eveningly cardio - which makes my quads pump and causes me great pain! I may have to get some knee straps I think.
I've been eating fantastically and staying awake all day! I prepared a bunch of awesome breakfast and everything.
5:30 - Brown Rice / Red Kidney Beans / Veggies / Egg whites all stirred in together
8:00 - protein
12:00 - half of something! (sammich or sushi or something)
3:00 - protein
5:00 - steak and veggies
then protein again if needed
2L of water a day, and 45 mins of cardio (cross trainer) in the evenings while watching cute things!
I'm the crappest cook in the world! I wouldnt make a good wife at all!
Steak = overcooked and tasted tough and funny
Veggies - green beans - some of them were burny hot, and some were still frozen!
other veggies - I put them in the microwave too long and they came out as charcoal! WOOPS!
haha
so yeah, here's a heads up, dont marry me. :P
Nothings happening in the fat department yet, in fact, I'm sure it's getting worse. I think I'm actually starting to get fat in the face, which apparently isnt uncommon for asianny races and i assume burmese is part of that, but still, i should be losing weight! I'll give it til the end of November and if it hasnt budged I'll do the Tyroidy thing. I dont want people to think I'm slack is all! I know its a hard slog to lose again and I'll stick to it, I just need some indication it's working! No more playing the victim
